Would Dante benefit from a month or two in the D-League?

Elliot Williams could be the back up point. At one point I think he was third or fourth in the DLeague in assists so I'm guessing he was bringing the ball up.

I support his selection and playing about as much as anyone here, the kid could be great. That said, I have never seen a "small" play anymore timidly in my life. He almost never makes an agressive move on offense, and for each one there are 20 "here, take the ball, I don't want it!" moves.

I could see sending him down for 10 games or so with some goals: average 15 spg, 2 shots blocked per game, 2 offensive fouls per game. Go for it Dante, get aggressive.

Yeah, I read the first few posts here and I tend to agree with them. The problem is, it may hurt his confidence to also be "sent down." So I'm not sure. And let's be honest, if he is sent down to runs team, does he know how to? Will he be vocal at all? Neither seem likely to me.

Dante needs to go - to the rack, at least once a game. Quin could set that as a goal. Get him to play aggressive on offense, just once a game, and build from that.

What happens when Exum goes to the D league and gets chewed up by pg scrubs? He cant' shoot, has no confidence to get into the lane, and is clueless on defense. It's rough being a 19 year old rookie in the association. I sure hope he doesn't bust.

This might be a good idea... I just want to see some D-League hunger out of him right now. I get that he's not confident with the ball, but I'd like to see him get after it like Millsap does. You can tell he doesn't want to go back down there.

His season does remind me of Hayward's though. I've decided wait until next year to really judge how I feel about Exum. You see it sometimes, but it is fleeting.

And what happens if he goes to the D League and annihilates people? His defense is already better than most and he can get to the rim playing against NBA caliber speed and strength.

He can score in the NBA, if only he didn't play like a terrified kitten. Even if he has trouble finishing, he has the length and speed to draw a **** ton of fouls. He just needs to drive with some passion and explosiveness.

I agree, but he will do that a lot more next year and even more the year after that. For now he is getting valuable experience, trying to play smart and staying healthy. He is getting good experience on defense, where he has done pretty well for a rookie.

I think it's kind of B.S. that Locke is demanding more aggression, let's keep in mind Dante's importance to us in the future vs. the need for him to be great now. He doesn't need extra pressure from a home-studio mouthpiece.

I don't think Snyder sends him down.
