Utah gives homes to the homeless

I heard that this also saves the state money in the long run with savings coming thru in less medical treatments and policing actions.

So if it helps the homeless get back on their feet and is cost effective then I say it's a great program.

It does not save money that is company line. It draws homeless to Utah we have 100 times as many to house now. 99% of Utah homeless are immigrants from neighbor states.
Where is this info from? I'd love to see an analysis of the program, be it pro or con.

There is no objective reporting in Utah we get what government agency provides then we give them more money based on there numbers.

Comprehensive annual report claims 12% immigrant but they provide zero data. I tell you this is not correct because they count citizen status year on year like in-state for tuition. Stay a while you are no longer immigrant. HUD requires PIT and CoC counts every year. From this you can find true number is in 90s percent.

What you think happens if you advertise free house free food free medical to transient (key word migrating) community? Word spreads fast

Some of that seems plausible, but what I was asking for is a link to someone who did the analysis you're talking about and arrived at that number. I'd like to read the specifics.
