GS only plays hustle guys at C and Millsap isn't one of those
Now I'm all confused.
You say he isn't and now you're saying that's all he is?

Sorry, I meant he's not a C. He's certainly a hustle player, but he's strictly a PF.Now I'm all confused.

Or, I suppose they could really go for the gusto and make a run at Cousins + re-sign Boozer
No question the Jazz would like to move up in the draft. That goes without saying. And I can't imagine any team in the league thinking Milsap is enough bait to do so.

I laugh at anyone thinking Boozer will be resigned with Andrei on the roster. Going to be pushing 80 million on the payroll.
"Well, Darkwing, we'll just trade AK at the trade deadline. I mean, teams LOVE trading for expirings, right?"
Only teams that will do that are teams with contracts that are horrible long term. Hello Antawn Jamison.
I agree. Boozer leaves, you've traded Millsap and Cousins jackpots around his 1st season. Utah would be back in the lottery and Deron would be demanding a trade. To me, if you really felt that #5 was the Make or Break point, you could trade Millsap, but you'd have to know if Boozer is going to re-sign. So I would say at this stage, we shouldn't. Then we'd have AK, and Doofus being our #4 and whomever else we get in the draft as being a backup 2/4/5. I think that's too big of a risk at this point in the game.
I thought it was pretty clear but I guess people didn't understand. Explanation three posts down.Wow, that reminds me so much of a typical politician. You say back to him in a interview a quote that made him look bad word for word, and he says 'i really meant to say was... (something in the opposite direction)'. If you were wrong, just admit it, what you said was pretty clear.
I'm sorry you don't know what a pronoun or a hustle player is.
Memphis doesn't have enough cap room to take on $18 million in salary without sending back significant salary as well.I still honestly think KOC's doing everything he can to dump AK, even if it means relinquishing this pick. Why? To re-sign Booze. Why? Deron. Memphis has the room. They want Babbitt at 9. Might they take on AK's contract for one year (especially with Gay leaving) if it means they can get the #9 pick in the draft?
#9 and AK for #25???
I'm not saying I'm crazy about this trade but hell, if it gave us the monetary freedom we really need (so long as we didn't re-sign AK or at least to not more than the MLE), it does sort of make sense. I've been dying for this pick as much as anyone but to dump 17M+ in salary is great. Would the 9th pick really equate into that much value so to speak anyone?
This is my prediction for the draft. #9 and AK to Memphis for #25 and lesser restrictions on their 1st rounder we currently own (top 8-10 protected)...
This is the original quote. You can read it and think I'm saying he's not a hustle player (which goes against everything I've been saying, forgetting that it's listed as the former), or you can more correctly think I'm saying he's not a C. Sorry I wasn't clear enough, I figured listing "C" as the latter would make that pretty clear.GS only plays hustle guys at C and Millsap isn't one of those.

Getting back to the point I thought I had made, GS doesn't want to play 4s unless they bring perimeter skills to the table (whether that's ballhandling/versatility [Randolph], or shooting [Harrington]). Millsap was very streaky with his mid-range shot and even still, GS puts a lot more emphasis on 4s that can reliably shoot and/or have 3-point range. Whether they have those players or not currently, they're not going to be stoked about the notion of trading for one AND losing assets otherwise. Boozer as a GS 5 makes more sense than Millsap as a GS 4. AK is a perfect GS 4.Dude, you're the one who originally said Millsap was a 5 and essentially said he didn't have hustle, confusing everyone.
I personally feel he'd be a good fit in GS. He's in shape and at the 4 can play up tempo. He also has an improved half-court player, plays defense (though he's short) which they sorely need and perhaps most of all, rebounds.
