Official skills challenge, 3pt shootout and slam dunk contest

So Lavine is the best dunker in the league, Curry is the best shooter and Beverly is the most uhh... skillful?

In my opinion the NBA needs to scrap the skills comp and the shooting comp and go old school more rounds and contestants for the 3 and dunk comps. It still sucked all around. That dunk contest sucked as it didn't give the players the ability to really be able to finish their dunks. Sorry but does anyone really care about the first two competitions?

Still laugh every time I hear the surname 'Plumlee'

I don't know why, but it just seems very silly to me

I think Lavine could take off from further out than anyone ever has and have a solid dunk. I think the furthest was Barry who was a legit 3-4 inches behind the line. Most of the time, those guys are on or in front of the line. Dr. J had nearly his whole foot in front of the line. Jordan had his foot about 3-4 inches over the line. But Levine? I think he could take off from about 6-8 inches from behind the line.

Kenny Smith needs to take geometry again. That Oladipo dunk was a 360 reverse. There was no 540 about it.

I was really hoping Lavine would pull this one out

Missed the final dunk because of a blackout. Unbelievable.

I can capture the excitement of it in my explanation here.

Shabazz jogged along the baseline and tossed it off the padded State Farm beam behind the hoop, Lavine trailed him and caught it then brought it between his legs and finished with his right hand. iirc.

I can only imagine your reaction

You mean to tell me that Shabazz made an assist? That right there is the most surprising thing of All-Star break.
