He is a big Enes Kanter-Fan and calls him an offensive Juggernaut. He is praising General Manager Presti for that, BIG time...

I think Utah really filled a need for OKC right their.... Presti said...

“Enes gives us a player and an option that we haven’t had really before, a skilled player that can play with his back to the basket,” Presti explained. “He creates some lineup opportunities that we think would be very beneficial for us going forward.”

You don't need a Bachelor's Degree to understand that OKC made a huge deal.

I like the concept that Barkley expresses that Kanter will bring easy baskets to OKC.

We will see how will look the Jazz offense without Kanter.

I think you are the only one who is sad kanter is gone and everyone else is just mad about the return.

It will be interesting to see this unfold.

Kanter's bad D but he will be next to Ibaka. Will that be enough to mask his liability there?

How will he feel about being, at best, the third option behind Westbrook and Durant?

What affect will he have on shot distribution with Durant and Westbrook involved?

How will Kanter affect OKC's passing and assist numbers?

Wonder what Charles will think after JJ Barea hits 4 wide open 3s again as Kanter completely botches the P&R defense?

Will Westbrook or Durant ever pass it to him when they know it is not coming back out?

#Nets prepared an offer of Kendrick Perkins expiring contract and at least 2 players from their roster in exchange for Enes Kanter

The #Nets were very close to acquiring R.Jackson and Enes Kanter for B.Lopez and 2 low level players on their roster

But then the Thunder decided they an opportunity to steal Enes Kanter for very little in return so they removed Nets from discussions

And dealt directly with Utah. They then returned to Detroit and Indiana who had previously made offers for Reggie Jackson

They briefly discussed a package with them before deciding on the Pistons package.

Nets GM Billy King was very creative yesterday and almost pulled off a great trade but it ended up backfiring on him

That's nice, Presti. Did you notice he doesn't pass?

Barkley is 100% correct to love kanter. As a jazz fan I always thought kanter was much better than some on this board. I hate the trade. We got pennies on the dollar for a player I think is soon going to explode. For those fans who say he cant pass I think you will see his assists jump by 1 to 1.5 higher than it was with the jazz simply because he can pass to better jump shooters. I saw kanter pass from the post to jazz players who couldn't throw a ball into the ocean standing on a beach. I for one will miss him and will follow him at OKC. It should be a Sad day for all jazz fans because even those that despised him have to realize we got virtually nothing useful from the trade except maybe more playing time for gobert.

You have to realize the fact is that we got what he was worth. You don't think that DL talked to every interested party and took the best deal out there?

So the Nets wanted to flip Perkins to Utah. The proposal outlined probably doesn't even work salary-wise. Jazz only had $4M in cap space, which is the difference between Perkins' salary and Kanter's. Those players would have been minimum salary guys, which is even a worse return than getting draft picks and Pleiss.

Jazz had absolutely ZERO interest in making a deal for low-level players from the Nets. They don't have anyone more valuable than what Utah ended up getting.

But I guess this - if true - proves there were few viable options for Enes on the table. Nets wanted to part with even LESS!

People who don't know Kanter are ignorant to the fact Kanter sucks on defense. I live in Los Angeles and the stupid Lakers fans are finally starting to figure this fact out with Carlos Boozer. After OKC fans see Kanter's matador defense they'll realize why we value Gobert much higher. A casual fan is going to look at Kanter's numbers and think he's awesome because he can score and rebound.

Of course he took the best deal offered. I never said any different. Cleveland did not call offering lebron and Dennis said no I think I will take the crap offered by OKC instead. What the jazz should have done is say if all im offered is crap I wont trade him. You offer a 4 year 40 million dollar contract in the off-season. If kanter gets a better offer you then decide whether to match. It gives you time. You dont take the used toilet paper offered by OKC and try to sell jazz fans that we got a good deal.

If Barkley loves the trade for OKC, that almost convinces me it was a bad trade of OKC. Barkley is an affable, likeable character, but he offers absolutely Zero insight on basketball that helps me understand it better. (His rant against analytics shows just how clueless he is.) Neither does Shaq. The ONLY person on the TNT broadcast that ever says anything approaching something insightful is Kenny Smith. I don't put any stock into anything Barkley says. He's there for entertainment purposes only.
