That's nice, Presti. Did you notice he doesn't pass?
He was never talking about passing the ball.

Barkley is 100% correct to love kanter. As a jazz fan I always thought kanter was much better than some on this board. I hate the trade. We got pennies on the dollar for a player I think is soon going to explode. For those fans who say he cant pass I think you will see his assists jump by 1 to 1.5 higher than it was with the jazz simply because he can pass to better jump shooters. I saw kanter pass from the post to jazz players who couldn't throw a ball into the ocean standing on a beach. I for one will miss him and will follow him at OKC. It should be a Sad day for all jazz fans because even those that despised him have to realize we got virtually nothing useful from the trade except maybe more playing time for gobert.

#Nets prepared an offer of Kendrick Perkins expiring contract and at least 2 players from their roster in exchange for Enes Kanter

The #Nets were very close to acquiring R.Jackson and Enes Kanter for B.Lopez and 2 low level players on their roster

But then the Thunder decided they an opportunity to steal Enes Kanter for very little in return so they removed Nets from discussions

And dealt directly with Utah. They then returned to Detroit and Indiana who had previously made offers for Reggie Jackson

They briefly discussed a package with them before deciding on the Pistons package.

Nets GM Billy King was very creative yesterday and almost pulled off a great trade but it ended up backfiring on him
You have to realize the fact is that we got what he was worth. You don't think that DL talked to every interested party and took the best deal out there?

My question is would Kanter have been a valuable piece to the Jazz in three years if they are one of the best teams in the West. Is it about getting to that point quickly or stepping up and playing really well when the time arrives? Kanter might impress with his numbers but is he a fit for a championship caliber team? Kind of harsh, but I'm not sure he has the mental capacity for that.
Of course he took the best deal offered. I never said any different. Cleveland did not call offering lebron and Dennis said no I think I will take the crap offered by OKC instead. What the jazz should have done is say if all im offered is crap I wont trade him. You offer a 4 year 40 million dollar contract in the off-season. If kanter gets a better offer you then decide whether to match. It gives you time. You dont take the used toilet paper offered by OKC and try to sell jazz fans that we got a good deal.
