Who will the Jazz let go?

Of these players, which will not be back with the Jazz next year

You can choose as many as you wish. Poll closes July 8 -- I think July 9 is cut off for player options. Sorry for misspelling Thabo ... just a typo. And Ekpe, too.

Favors is gone. It's nothing either side did - it's just been 7 years and the grass is always greener mentality has probably set in.

Neto may or may not be back depending on what happens to Exum.

Personally I hope Thabo, Epke and Jonas all come back - it's quite a luxury to have your roster filled out by veterans and not G-Leaguers/fringe NBA players who come in and make dumb mistakes. However, if a major deal is to be had and The Jazz have a shot at a legit NBA scorer, then I think you make that move and sacrifice any of them you have to for trade filler or cap space.

I think Neto is gone, hope Favors comes back but im 50/50 on that happening, DL said in his post season interview that he really rates Derrick skill set and physicality come playoffs time, could be a major factor in the offer the Jazz make.

I'm leaning towards more or less keeping everyone. Neto would be my guess as the first to go. Jonas is #2 for me. Exum is there most likely to stay, followed by Sef.

I deleted the two misspelled names. Hopefully that didn't lose anyone's votes (I forgot to check before I deleted them).

Stockton is replaced by Jazz' first round pick. Favors and Exum return and Neto's intimate friendship with Rudy ensures he gets a roster spot.

DL talks about exploring all avenues to improve the team, but uses terms such as chemistry, connectivity, "Jazz DNA," and internal development to explain why no other roster moves were made. Maybe he even harkens back to the KOC era and says we need to see what the team can do when healthy.

I think Neto and Udoh. While Udoh had his moments on defence his lack of any kind of offence was disappointing. Unless Exum wants something crazy then maybe Jazz will let him go and keep Neto again as a third string PG.

Some are chain reactions- Favors leaving would pretty much ensure Udoh's spot.
A PG 1st draft pick would crowd out Neto for sure.
Favors, I think sticks, though the price may stick in our craw in a year or two.
Jonas and Thabo are cheap fillers who are effective for their price, so they stick for sure.

Neto - I think it will be his choice. If he is content to be the 3rd pg option he will probably be back but if he wants more of a primary back up roll he will go some where else.
Exum - It all comes down to $$$ if another team offers more he might be gone. He is worth about the $10 mill level.
Favors - Being UFA it all comes down to him. He is not getting the max so it comes to what he feels he is worth. I put him about the $15 mill level
Jerebko - He can be replaced on the roster and the Jazz should look at an upgrade
Udoh - If defense wins championships scoring gets you playing time. He is great defensively but limited offensively. up grade here is an option and the Jazz might already be grooming his replacement in bradley
Sefolosha - His injury throws a huge wrench in what he is worth. at his age it is going to be tough to be ready next year. This is the spot i expect to be upgraded in the off season.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Favors is gone. That said, I am getting really tired of the Jazz just letting dudes walk for nothing. Literally nothing. It has happened so much, and usually in years when that was all the buzz, that so-and-so was leaving Utah next summer no matter what, and instead of a deadline trade to get something of value they just let them go. As good as they have done in drafts and player development, this part of team management for the Jazz just sucks. Hell even if they trade the guy for a pick at least that is something.

Neto
Burks
Stockton
and Ekpe

Those are the guys I don't think will be back. I'm a little iffy on Thabo, I like him but that injury at his age is a real question mark. I think he stays but probably only for half the year.

I think the postseason experience the team just got is the best value the Jazz could have gotten out of the final months of Favors' contract. He won't be walking for nothing, if he leaves.

If we can trade the non-guaranteeds to gain an asset, I hope Favors comes back. Mitchell likes him and he's excellent for our depth behind Gobert.

If we can't trade the non-guaranteed guys, I hope most of them return. Seems like all 3 are great for the locker-room while also serving as decent cover. If two or three of the non-guaranteeds return, I don't see Favors also returning. They seem redundant.

Burks, Jonas, and Stockton. If we draft a PG then Neto goes. If Favors stays, then we let Ekpe go. FO really like Thabo and he fills a critical role in Quinn's system.

Forgot to put Burks in there, but he is the only with a guaranteed contract out of the questionables.
