Jazz intentionally foul another Suns player to prevent Devin Booker from scoring 60 points - CBSSpor

I need some advice from the Jimmer fans that were at the Suns game...

I’m with my wife at the grocery store and we see her friend that looks really really hot...what should I do (knowing that my wife is next to me)?:

A) say “Hi” and smile
B) eyeball her up and down, follow her around the store while leaving a trail of drool on the floor

This is a tough one, please advise.

I don’t hate the guy. I have a problem with his existence as a basketball player in the broader context of being a fan of basketball in Utah.

I was and would otherwise be rooting for the guy. These ****ing Jimmer groupies though... Christ.
Exactly how I felt about Tebow on my Broncos. I would hate Jimmer playing for the Jazz. On another team it's really stupid to cheer an opponent. This is why Jimmer usually gets booed playing in Utah, and why he should. Everybody forgets that it was him getting cheered 1st that led to Boos later.

It depends, if you were having fun and it was a competitive shopping, you go with A.

In other hand, if you were kind of bored because your wife was acing the shopping, you go with B. If she complains don't forget to act insulted and go with something like "I always ogle you and I will do it again tomorrow, you entitled wench!"

I'm not a native Utah person and wasn't here when Jimmer was. Actually, I'm from the same area as Jimmer. I feel for the guy because it looked like he was going to be a star when he was in college, but when he got to the pros it was evident he lacked the size and strength to play defense in the NBA -- you could say that guys like Iverson, IT or even Muggsy were able to overcome that but they had other strengths to compensate that Jimmer doesn't. In the right situation as a spot-up shooter, he might be able to play a role like Korver, but he's not as a good a shooter and Korver has the size and basketball IQ to be a competent defender. So, I don't see a problem cheering for a guy whose career has obviously been a major disappointment. Not his fault, he's not good enough.

It is interesting that there are plenty of superstars, stars, starters, and some role players that are really bad defensively. I think there is more to it than "he can't play defense".
Quickness, speed, athleticism, size, strength in addition to lacking defense.

He is a great shooter and and good ball handler and is crafty at getting a good shot off when defended well and can make tough shots around the rim. Those things made him a fantastic college player and overseas player. They are no longer enough in the NBA.

I think Monday night was all the explanation for why Jimmer can't hack it in the NBA you would ever need. Raul is, under normal circumstances, our third-string point guard. He's actually a damn good one, too, as his advanced stats show. Especially the on/off numbers. His playing time may be limited, but the Jazz just plain outscore opponents when he's on the floor, whether with starters or with other third-stringers. Raulzinho was blowing past Jimmer at will, while Jimmer couldn't do anything to him.

I mean, the gap between Raul and Jimmer is tremendous when you look at them, and Raul is our 3rd PG. Most NBA teams don't have a fourth PG playing any significant minutes.

Jazz showing the Suns how to handle potential stat buffing with class instead of the way they handled it.

Joe Ingles was 1 rebound from his 1st ever triple double in a blowout and instead of chasing a stat they took him out of the game.
