Looks like we played them in ‘96, too. I don’t remember that one.

And it appears to be ‘91 and ‘92 that we played them, not ‘92 and ‘93.

Not only do we get a favourable 1st round matchup but the Jazz get to lose to a much more entertaining team to watch in the 2nd round and the FO gets a real idea of where the team is at/who to keep and who to let go vs losing in the 1st round to Harden ISOs.

I mean why would you not want to play Utah over OKC? OKC is only slightly less annoying than the Rockets. They just aren't much fun to watch even if you do beat them. Not to mention you have to fly to OKC, which sucks.

Even if you think that the Jazz are somewhat better than the Thunder, it is a decent quality of life decision to face the friendlier Jazz.

I thought those 87 must have been close. Good gawd, I was thinking Houston here we come after Portland came out fast. 9-2 or something like that to open the game. Kings just lit them up after that.

Anyway, not even close.
Phoenix has the record with 107 against Denver back in 1990. Must have been the run-and-gun team of Paul Westhead. Worked for him at Loyola-Marymount. In the NBA...not so much.

Warriors scored 92 against the Bulls in 2018.
 
Damn, this ain't over. Portland has closed the deficit to 15 heading into the fourth quarter. Nuggets down by 11. Certainly one of those teams has to lose, right? The racist fan was banned. The basketball gods still can't be angry.

Minnesota up 11 on Denver, though. Plus, can those guys who haven’t played any games hang in for a full 48?

Portland within 11. Stotts, do something. Suit up yourself, if you have to.
 
Honestly I'd be super interested in a series with Houston. Locke said that Quin and Jensen watched countless amounts of film solely dedicated to figuring out how to beat the Rockets/switch-everything defenses. Then again, it's probably harder to evaluate the team after playing the Rockets when they iso like 80% of the time and Harden makes a bunch of undefendable stepback 3s.
