What's new

You're the GM this offseason. What do you do?

What kind of drugs are you smoking??? Rubio does not like to "ISO"! Is a complete team player that loves to get everyone involved! His pick and roll efficiency is above excellent, indicated by the fact that the Jazz LEAD THE LEAGUE IN DUNKS and his lob passes are also above average! Now, granted, his outside shooting is sometimes questionable, which is why we need to add a shooter or two to our roster that can help that situation out! Winning point guards don't necessarily have to be great shooters but they do have to be above average distributors, which Rubio IS! His defense is not all that bad either and can be covered up by the fact that our big guys are two of the best in the league in blocking shots and forcing the opposition to poor shooting percentages. Bottom line? WE NEED A COUPLE OF OUTSIDE SHOOTERS! End of story!

The Jazz aren't keeping Rubio, the sooner you accept that the better. The writings been on the wall for a long time now.

Does no one see Brogdon as a realistic possibility?

You have to make an offer Milwaukee won't match? Can you afford to tie up the money while they wait to match. He's certainly on the list. I think I'd rather pay him $20M+ than Russell, but he comes with some injury concerns and not sure he can provide all the playmaking we need. Anything under $20M I think they match easily... over that it would depend, but they can avoid the tax and are a contender... so they can reach in the pocketbooks and still make it happen.

Lol, sorry dudes Hayward is exactly what this team needs. I hate the guy as much as the next man and I am enjoying every second of his demise but from a basketball and team need standpoint he checks all the boxes if he comes back healthy.

You are wrong... why does something have to benefit the team?

Non guaranteed contracts become guaranteed if the player is not waived by a certain date. Waiving the player gets the salary off the books... and the player goes through the normal waiver process.

Ok, but why would a team make a player non-guaranteed vs team option? There has to be some benefit to the team otherwise it's just a dick move.

I’m not sure Brogdon is significantly better than George Hill tbh. They haven’t really missed a beat without him in the playoffs

he was He's not that now and there's no way in hell the Jazz would bring him back anyway

Promote for within. Give Naz and Cavanaugh contracts, sign the first and 2nd round picks and let Bricky, Neto, Ekpe and Thabo go. Let Herpes, Willie Reed, Cousins and Lyles compete for the two way deals. I'm assuming Korver is back.
