Jazz are emerging as serious threats to sign Bojan Bogdanovic

No, the Jazz can offer it. You just increase the salary yearly, like most contracts do.

Its not a legit source tho, you are right.

Well that is good to know. So, essentially the first year has to be 18m. Then it could go up to 19.5m the second year and then 21m, etc?

This kinda comes down to if the Pacers are serious about going hunting in FA. They have about $20 million in available capspace if they renounce everyone besides Bogdanovic, but if they plan on offering anything greater, then they can only sign him with whatever they have remaining.

We gotta hope they land DLo, basically.

If Rudy goes down, with Favs we were in trouble. Without Favs we are straight up ****ed. Bradley is not an NBA player. He's too slow and mechanical to ever be. I'm not sure why he is still on the roster.
We’re ****ed if Gobert goes down period. We’ve been ****ed every time he goes down, even with Favors.

Believe it or not, this is a GOOD thing as it confirms that Gobert is so god damn ****ing good. Teams are worse when one of their pillars goes down, this idea of there being insurance is half-baked.

And Bradley is straight garbage. He might have a chance to prove me wrong this year, though.

But according to Marc Stein Rubio is a done deal. That means they arent looking to be major players for high cost guys.

The Jazz have to hope the Pacers arent willing to offer much more than the Jazz (because they will almost certainly offer more) and that Bojan prefers Utah.

That or hope the Pacers decide to go with cheaper guys to fill out the roster instead of spending all their cap on Bojan and Rubio.

Not exactly. Gobert went down in the playoffs against the clippers and Favs came in and we won that series. Last year when Gobert got ejected for his tantrum on the water bottle, favs came in and we destroyed The Rockets.

But I do agree if it were for a longer period like a whole season we would be ****ed!

OK, good news is the Pacers dont have full bird rights on Bojan. The most they can sign him to is 18.35 this year (unless they have more cap-room).

If they did offer him the most they could we could come close to matching then it’s just up to him whether or not he wants to stay and play for the Pacers or leave and play for the Jazz.

So if the Pacers renounce and waive everyone besides Bojan, they can have 22 in cap-space. They'd have to sign Rubio first, which would mean they cant go over their early bird rights to sign Bojan.

So if they take that path, then Utah and Indy are essentially tied in the amount of money they can offer.

Straight up, acquiring Bogdanovic is the best realistic thing we could expect from the offseason at this point. 4 years $80 million? Sure.
