What's new

Lakers @ Jazz (7:00pm MTN)

Bring in Trevor Booker. He won't take no crap.

It was actually a great quote by him and gained back some respect for me. The Jazz bet the farm on Conley being 2018 Conley and lost.

Okay fine, lets concede that Conley will never play up to his contract at 32 years of age, which I never expected.

Are you saying that you agree with him when you have a look at the whole team, and think this is who we are? Getting blown out by 20 every game?

I'm not saying I'm right, nor am I saying that you're right. I just thought 20 games into the season is quite early to start declaring things, as a big picture situation.

Yes. As players most everyone has peaked, and two are on the decline from age (Ingles, Conley), this decline is irreversible. DM has a little more improving to do. You can argue chemistry will get better, but every team has new pieces and are also gaining chemistry.

Your post describes individuality, meaning you've mentioned a lot of players and only mentioned chemistry as a last word. We've won 12 games this season on pretty much individual talent alone. I feel like the bigger picture I was talking about is when the individuals not only carry us with their talent, but elevate the team chemistry as well. I just refuse to think that we will play like this for the rest of the season, as individuals, leaving team concepts outside of the stadium.

If we play like **** against the Grizzlies (win or lose) at home after two days off and a practice... any remaining shred of hope I may have for the season will be gone.

Please Jazz. Please show some f****** progress. Anything. Give a pulse on the moniter. The flatline is really depressing.

I simply can’t fathom paying Conley all that money next year. Ingles has also hit the wall.

I will say, I think Mitchell looked natural playing at the 1. The Jazz could build around him as their PG and bring in another athletic scoring wing.

We need to reshape the end of our roster. Cut the players who will never get minutes on the Jazz under any circumstance and sign some guys who can actually challenge for minutes.

I like Brantley. Morgan even shows some interesting abilities. But what is the point of having them on the roster if we're literally never going to play them. If Niang and Green are killing us this bad playing the 4 and thats not enough to give Brantley/Morgan a chance in the rotation.... then WHEN will they ever get minutes? What's the point of them being under contract? Go sign some vets that could get minutes.

He's definitely struggling this season, but he's unquestionably been a very good player for us the past few years.

Because no one guarded him. He was some how invisible to defensive schemes. But, the second the playoffs starts he gets shut down. Now, since everyone basically stands around no one really leaves him wide open anymore.

I like Green. But, Bradley, Goss, Niang, and Ingles should be gone for younger athletic players. No need to watch Ingles slowly die like the family dog just move on to a young pup time
