Donovan Mitchell tests positive for COVID-19

First thought that comes to my mind is - "How frickin tough is Mitchell?" He hadn't indicated any ill effects and was scheduled to start in their game last night against the Thunder. Joe Ingles is our resident iron man and leads the league in consecutive games played but he may have some competition on the team in that department.

Many people, especially younger people are asymptomatic. As well many people have light symptoms. Hopefully once these NBA players recover and express how light of an illness this was, people will chill out. Honestly, this virus is so hyped up.

How is this not a hippa violation?
*HIPAA. There are a lot of things that don't fall under HIPAA, so it doesn't apply to every healthcare scenario. But I don't know in terms of who's ordering the tests and such. Different too in a public health emergency.

Ben Golliver on the locked in pod went on for a while about fans and people should have compassion for Rudy... was always a fan of his but just confirmed he’s one of the better guys in the media.

This is exactly why the virus is dangerous. It is mild enough to make people not take it seriously at the same time it has already killed 4,000+ and is not slowing down.

I'm with NAOS on this. Taking the test first does not mean that's where it came from. It still might be the case, but it might not.
There are so many factors we might never know, but Gobert is the easy target with his joking around.

That post did not read really well if you think him and Rudy are cool.

Wild and reckless speculation alert - I am not sure DM and Rudy are cool and this will surely fracture the current core. Also, Christian Wood does not have the corona virus so DLJZ should consider signing him this offseason.

I feel like if anyone is to blame its most likely Mike Conley and the other Jazz guys are just covering up for him.

Stephen A had Rudy's back today as well....said touching the mics and not taking it serious was obviously stupid and reckless but it's not the time to pile on Rudy.
I saw it more of a joke that just having reporters further away some how protects these guys that are traveling non-stop and exposed to thousands of people. Like I'm working from home, but my some of my kids are still going to school so whats the damn point... that is where 90% of the problems would come from.

I'm kind of disappointed that some players threw him under the bus, I'm assuming Woj didn't make it up, that makes him look terrible. Would be nice if we actually had each other's backs here.

Sounds like they both might've picked it up in Cleveland
