2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

Sarah Todd mentioned the Jazz interviewed Reed Sheppard, Alex Sarr, Kyshawn George, Isiah Collier, Stephon Castle, Jared McCain, and Cody Williams. She says the Jazz really like George and Sheppard.
Would you mind saying where she said this about Sheppard and George? I didn't see that after a quick search. Thanks.

I think Collier has Sexton w/ more PG ability upside. Locke mentioned him on his pod yesterday (about him dropping) and said something along the lines of HS rankings can be more accurate than college rankings for Freshman, which I think could be the influence of the DA's philosophy if we are to believe that was a factor in Keyonte being their 10th ranked player.

That mock shows how deep this draft is. So many 2nd rd guys that I would be happy with at 32 including Klintman.

Furphy at 34
Ryan Dunn at 36
Keshad Johnson 37
Cam Chistie 39
Dillon Jones at 40
Hunter Sallis at 41
Pelle Larson at 42
Jonathan Mogbo at 47 ( I think Cy is on to something with this dude. )
AJ Johnson at 48
Payton Sandfort at 51
Nikola Djurisic at 54 ( He would probably by my top choice at 32 if he is still available )
Malique Lewis ( still haven't seen him mocked in a single draft but a late 1st early 2nd rd talent for me )
Ulriche Comche ( not mocked )
Alex Karaban ( not mocked )
Trentyn Flowers ( not mocked )

I mean, you think every draft prospect is great, so you're happy with anyone. I wouldnt call that being a deep draft. I would guess that every draft you can produce a similar list at 32.

How many players in that list would you bet a significant amount of money to have a 10 year career?

Ulrich I think speaks French and struggles with English in his interview (look up his combine interview) I don't think he would want to go to college as his first year might be too difficult for him due to the language barrier. I think he stays in and he drops big time. If a team is willing to work with him and his language and his rawness., then I think in a couple of years he is a lottery talent with his shooting passing, and drive game flashes.

Uhhh what? You understand going to college where you are surrounded with social activities with people your same age is 1000000% more conducive to assimilating w/ American culture than going pro, right?

If he really cant speak English all that well he might go to a veteran ladened team where no one hangs out with him and he doesnt really have much to do but go home and be by himself.

Ah yes the usual hyperbole from Cy. In the 2nd rd I look for guys with at least one or two translatable skills that can fill a role off the bench or raw players with great positional size and athleticism that you can try to mold. The guys I mentioned fit that mold and it is a bigger list than I have produced for any other draft that I can remember. Usually I get to around the 35th pick and then things get tough.

Got it, so 0.
