share your current thoughts about whether Taylor Hendricks is an NBA player

He's definitely in his head... which is why yelling and screaming may not be a sound approach lol.
The strategy is actually pretty good. If the player develops, it means the approach was right and warranted. If the player doesn't develop, the person with the approach was right to be frustrated and limited time and be hard.

It's kinda like Exum theory, in a way.

We have 8 days until the trade deadline. I would suggest waiting until then before complaining about playing time for our young guys.
I just think he should have always been playing 15 minutes or so a night. At very least the tank would be moving better. I think the other guys have been displayed though... so teams would know what they are getting in KA, Nurk, Love, Svi... if they didn't already know.

What the hell could we possibly get for those guys? Like some other more recent departures, we’d probably either get nothing or have to give up a 2nd to trade one of them.

So upping their value hasn’t really helped us one iota.

Hendricks needs to cut down on protein shakes and work on agility drills. I'm still in the mindset where I'm willing to give him a pass because of the injury, but next offseason is "do or die" for his career.

I have ways been of the belief that this year was a recovery year. That type of injury csn mess with the psychology of a players mind. He needs to play and break that barrier in his mind about his leg. IF that happens yes he could be a decent player. IF NOT he will be out of the league soon.

Its a tough call. He seemed bigger this year but not convinced it was all muscle. I think he needs strength with our the size to stay effective.

The year after the year off for recovery after his broken leg was Paul George's worst shooting year of his entire career. He rebounded nicely the year after that. I'm giving Hedricks, who is no Paul George a little grace this year, because expecting a third year leap under the very worst of circumstances is kinda moronic. He looked like an NBA player before the injury and we aren't in a hurry quite yet.

Taylor Thomas Hendricks, thy fibula snapped and we lament. Your recompense has included girth, which to our measured eyes, decreases dexterity. Lo! Cut down on thy milkshakes, and listen to the instructions of Will Culvahouse Hardy. At this point in spacetime, your ability is not commensurate to that of a rotation individual.
That was on of your best lol

He’s not been good in his minutes this year, but it’s not like there’s a high standard for minutes in the first place. Unless it’s a health issue, I don’t see the point in benching him. Didn’t see the point in benching Cody or Brice either. I don’t think playing TH is the secret sauce to development, but sometimes guys just need time to start performing better.

And here’s where someone chimes in and says it was actually the benching that lead to Cody and Brice improving.

I mean it is really hard to argue the process on Cody now seeing the results. Not sure that same approach would work for every player.

It looks like they did a complete teardown with Cody, and yeah, something like that was probably pretty difficult for him. On the other hand, it appears the teardown for Ace went really well. Outside some shot making, he doesn't resemble himself much as a college player.
