Enes or Kyrie?

Hey all, I'm a long time jazz fan and have frequented and enjoyed your posts for a long time. I'm like most the rest of you in that I'm really ready to see what these young guys can do. I've thought since last year that Kanter would be a beast. He's strong as an ox, has great footwork, and a soft touch on his shot. And he boards like crazy. So having said that let's hypothetically say that the caves offered Kyrie for Enes. which they won't. Would you do it? Irving is awesome, but I think Kanter can be just as good and he's a big. So... I'd keep Kanter. Am I a crazy homer?

Not a ridiculous question.. though I feel ridiculous saying it.

During the draft I was unwavering that Irving was 100% the #1 guy. I was way high on Kanter... though I thought Kyrie was WAY ahead.

I would still pick Kyrie #1, but the fact this is even a thread is a testimony to how Enes is coming along.

Ask me again after next season, but right now you have to say Kyrie. Kanter is looking like he could be REALLY awesome, but let's dial it down a little for now. Kyrie is already an all-star.

Kyrie is amazing. Definitely the better player. The only thing that freaks me out is that he's injury prone.

Kanter's coach in Wildcats said that "Any team who doesn't pick Enes in the draft will be sorry for that later".

That year that Kanter was not allowed to play, really hurt him a little bit. He was nowhere near NBA ready as Kyrie was.

Otherwise, I think he would have been the clear number one pick and would have let Kentucky to a championship.

Right now, Kyrie is ahead. Let us talk in 15 years again. I think both will make the All-Star team multiple times and have the potential to become HOF players.

Right now, it's Kyrie. No doubt, both will have excellent careers if there won't be significant injuries.

no question... kyrie. Kanter's great. dont get me wrong. But this game is evolving into a guard's game. And Kyrie (barring injury) will be a top 5 guard for a long time (only 20 yrs old like enes).

Fixed. There have been some terrible ideas posted on JazzFanz.

As people have mentioned, this question may have been better asked a few years down the road. However, just looking at the Jazz's current predicament (logjam in the frontcourt + putrid backcourt) should make this an easy answer.

In a vacuum it's still Irving in a landslide.

Can you imagine how good cleveland would be, If KOC had picked Thompson ? I Love KOC
