    NBA Playoffs

The Biyombo thing is explainable because hes more mobile than McGee, and McGee simply doesn't have the footspeed to keep up on the perimeter guys when Dallas plays 5 out - Biyombo doesn't either but hes definitely better than McGee at that, but the Suns really didn't have a "smallball 5" with...

    NBA Playoffs

I maintain that the Suns were by far the best team all year - as you said, an absolute machine. I know the Paul-typical postseason injury leaked out, although no one knows how bad that hurt him, but that ENTIRE team looked like they never played basketball before when they went to Dallas...

    NBA Playoffs

Anyone else think something terrible happened within the Suns locker room? All the props (AND MAJOR PROPS) to Jason Kidd for literally outcoaching the **** out of Monty Williams in that series. But that Suns team looked like it didn't want to be there at ALL in those last 5 games. I think...

    NBA Playoffs

Hes 37 - so his defense isn't what it once was. However, the Mavs weren't able to be successful on every possession doing it, which speaks wonders to his ability even at 37. Last night felt like a very typical desperation Game 3 from the home team. The Suns statistically beat the Mavs in every...

    NBA Playoffs

Yes he is lol. Don't be a homer. Hes 26, was 2nd in the NBA in 3 Point FG% this year before he got hurt, and plays very serviceable individual defense, and is an excellent team defender. Cam Johnson is one of the best 6th men in the league, and frankly the Suns would be much scarier if he was...

Bold prediction... and just me reading tea leaves - nothing else... Dame Lillard forces his way to Phoenix after CP3 retires.

    NBA Playoffs

Its not even close now - Booker overall is a better player than Mitchell, especially now that Booker is shooting 38% from 3 (heck he had a stretch where he was shooting 43% from 3 this year). He's better on offense AND defense. The Mavs repeatedly tried to run stuff for Brunson on Booker last...

    NBA Playoffs

If Booker is back tonight, this series is over. Feels like NO hit a wall in Game 5. And yes, Herb Jones has gotten extremely overrated. I think 5-6 different Suns players are shooting 50% or better when guarded by him.

LMAO I swear you can't make this crap up.

The Jazz tend to blow it when things are going their way. The Suns are vulnerable, they need to take advantage of this.

    NBA Playoffs

CP3 hurt his left hand tonight. He was barely dribbling with it in the 2nd half. This is our chance fellas. The Suns are on life-support without Booker, and with CP3 hobbled...

Game Thread Apr 25, 2022 7:30PM MT: Jazz at Mavericks - Game 5

We need to win this in 6. Against the NBA's next darling Luka in a Game 7 situation on the road in Dallas? I don't like the Jazz chances. Other thing - the Jazz had a chance to win this in 4 and 5, and take advantage of Phoenix missing Booker. If the Jazz/Mavs series goes 7, Booker will have...

    NBA Playoffs

The reason Williams was widely considered better was due to Paul's knee issues at the beginning of his career. People forget before Paul's knee injuries, he was super explosive and dynamic in the open court - not quite prime Derrick Rose or Russ Westbrook explosive, but pretty damn close. And...

    NBA Playoffs

If Phoenix wins Friday, they'll close this out in 5, but if the Pelicans win, that series is going 7 IMO. And for those of you wishing to face the Pelicans... that ain't your regular 8 seed. Ingram and McCollum are 2 elite scorers. And they play great defense. We need to worry about getting...

    NBA Playoffs

The Jazz can't take advantage of anything in front of them. Hell, even if Booker misses the 2nd round, does anyone in here legitimately think they'll beat the Suns?

Game Thread Apr 18, 2022 06:30PM MT: Jazz at Mavericks - Game 2

They had a chance to put this series away tonight, and perhaps get rest before playing Phoenix. Instead, Luka probably comes back in Game 3 or 4, and this turns into a 6-7 game series. Anyone thinking this team has a chance to compete with Phoenix at this compete is kidding themselves. This...

There is literally no excuse to lose this game tonight from the Jazz' perspective.

He's not gonna play. Win tonight, and ensure a sweep. This series is close to 99% being over. Can't ask for anything better. IF the Pelicans can steal one from Phoenix, we'll have more rest than the Suns. Pretty big deal.

    NBA Playoffs

Seemed like the Suns took their foot off the gas multiple times last night. They actually didn't play as well as I thought, especially on offense, after watching that game. Which is pretty scary, because they are capable of playing much better.

You basically couldn't have asked for an easier first round series than this without Luka. Jazz absolutely cannot squander this opportunity. Go up 2-0, and the Mavs will fold on the road. Sweep the Mavs, and you get a week's worth of preparation for Phoenix, and see what the Jazz are made of.
