2011 draft.....

As I'm starting to dig a little deeper in this draft, I'm really liking Reggie Jackson for Boston College. 6-3 Pg with great athleticism and a 7-foot wingspan. He should be there for #12, so if we get a big with our top pick, he might be a great PG to train under Harris.

Here is ESPN's update on him:

Mar 30 Update: Jackson is one of the true sleepers in this year's draft. He's coming off a terrific season at Boston College where he averaged 18 ppg, 4.5 apg, 4.3 rpg and shot an impressive 42 percent from three. He's long, athletic, has great quickness, can run a team and shoot the basketball. Those types of players are typically lottery picks at the end of the day. Scouts have been a little bit slower on the uptake with Jackson, but every NBA team I spoke with has him as a solid first-round pick. A few have him in the lottery. He's also the type that could really rise with terrific workouts. I expect he'll stay in the draft.

Why the **** is everyone so high on this Irving kid? What has he done? Played in like 12 games or something?

” Last month in an interview with USA TODAY, when told Krzyzewski had compared some of his attributes to NBA star Chris Paul‘s, [Kyrie] Irving paused before saying: “There’s only one Kyrie Irving.”"

yeah, Chad Ford is with you on that one. Lets hope KOC gets to see Knight, Walker, Jackson, and Fredette workout against each other.

I think Jimmer has the ceiling of mark price. Worst case Eddie house who had a long career. The thing with Jimmer you have to look at selecting him as a marketing tool. The jazz need to increase their fan base. By drafting him they will instantly sell more tickets and merchandise. It is not a stretch to draft him at 12. If he turns into a great bench player in this draft it is a win. If he turns into a mark price and runs the jazz team for the next 10 years it is a steal. Either way it is a win win for the jazz.

Looks interesting. Here's some more info on him along with a highlight reel:

He plays more like a shooting guard than a point guard, but that might work alongside Hayward, assuming he can hit the outside shot. This article lists much poorer shooting percentages than you mentioned. Those arms, though. Wow! He's got the potential to create a lot of problems for his opponents on both ends of the floor.

Aside from Favors, we don't have too much athleticism on the roster. So in this draft that is lack of surefire talents, we can address this by drafting Biyombo at #6 and Burks at #12, just like DraftExpress suggests at this moment.

C Jefferson/Biyombo
PF Favors/Millsap
SF Hayward/Evans
SG Burks/Bell
PG Harris/Watson (re-signed)

We will then have to address the shooter situation via free agency. How good we are will be determined by how much improvement from within.

So you have Evans playing the backup 3. Evans is not a 3. Why not pick up Miles under 4 million contract to play the 3?
