2011 draft.....

I definitely will sport a Biyomboner if he's there at #12. And then kill myself when the Jazz draft Jo Bro.

I would too but it seems so unlikely a guy ranked #3 on DX top prospects lists fell that far unless there was something medically wrong with him

Otherwise i think the lowest he goes his #8 and the Pistons would be all over that, they are in serious need of a defensive big

first, they said kanter would have knee problems but the fact is this (they read 'bad knees' somewhere and every draft site copy pasted it cause they didn't have enough information about him. funny, cause no one could tell what his knee problems really were):

Givony: NBA Combine medical examination results are slowly trickling out. We must proceed w/caution, but appears Enes Kanter's knee checked out fine

Givony: Internet reports indicated that Enes Kanter has bad knees. It appears that they were unsubstantiated. Not a nice thing to speculate about...

then, they said he would be slow and not athletic:

but in fact, his max vert is 32.5, 3/4 court sprint is 3.26, lane agility is 11.3.
in comparison: boozer (28.5 / 10.77 / 3.31), bosh (33.0 / 11.8 / 3.30), chandler (33.5 / 12.13 / 3.36), mcgee (32.5 / 12.5 / 3.25). in addition, kanter has a 7-2 wingspan and a 9-2 standing reach and is in fact an athlete. his numbers look similar to bosh, chandler and the same as mcgee. still someone saying that he is unathletic and slow? he is still growing and i think he will become a legit 7 footer with a weight around 270 lbs within 3-4 years but an incredible mobile, quick and quite an athlete one. there is no reason along with his iq, skillset, character and work-ethic, that he will be a bust. he is a 'sure' thing imo. even if there are haters, facts are proving you wrong.

Really? I projected Knight to be like Jrue Holiday awhile ago. Hmm, even if it's from nbadarft.net it's nice to get a little validation.

You have a theory on me, huh? Thanks for the contribution to my narcissistic supply. You could just ask me, I'm not hiding the fact that I haven't seen many of these guys play (just highlights). And I believe I said I've never seen Singleton play a game. Again, just highlights, - which is why I need to absorb all the conflicting opinions on him and weigh the arguments against each other, against his stats, against the highlight footage, against his performance at the combine and in private workouts, etc. It's much more difficult than having actually seen him play in a game, but the draft is in June and he's not playing a game before then so I'll just have to do the best with what I've got access to.

But Knight is one I actually have seen play - which is why I, who has a rep as a "flip flopper," am pretty concrete when it comes to Knight. I think he's a nice player, certainly clutch, but I was never all that impressed with his running of the Kentucky offense. He merely looked like a decent PG, not elite IMO. I'd prefer to wait for something better or something that wouldn't cost a top 5 pick. But I do think Jrue Holiday is a good comparison, and I like Holiday so I like Knight -but just not with the 3rd pick. And the Jazz aren't gonna get Knight unless they take him there, which again I consider a waste of a high pick.

That's my assessment. How do I make it up to you?

Sheesh - I get grief for changing my mind on players, and then I get grief for not changing my mind on players. I'm gonna cry.

I think the knight holiday comparison is spot on. I agree that 3 is to high. Jazz are either going to get Kanter or Williams. As far as singleton goes I am not completely off the singleton band wagon but I got on when I saw ACC defensive player of the year. That is quite the honor.

I am moving Hamilton up my draft board. It is a love hate relationship.

At 3 it is a 3 person choice with 4 options

Williams
Kanter
Knight

Options

Use the pick on one of those 3
Trade down pick up another asset or pick
Trade out for a vet
Trade out for a pick next year

I think one of those top 2 is the direction the jazz should go if the keep the pick. If, as we read, the jazz are in love with walker trade down and get another asset. I don't particulary like getting the vet because I think we need to rebuild 1 more year.

I've decided I want Kanter with the third pick. If he is picked first or second I want us to trade down get other assets, and take knight.

If some websites are to believed you might need to include Walker on that list as well. If Vesely goes big in the Serbian finals who knows with him as well.

I like the idea of drafting Kanter more now than I did a few pages ago.
I also dislike the idea of drafting Knight at 3 much more than I did back at page 96.

i loved hamilton this year at texas, but he would have ghost appearances to some games which totally tripped me out. Our freshman point guard Jcovan Brown was our leading scorer in the tourney? WTF is that about.
