I was glad Duke played such great defense on Barnes, keeping his numbers down. Because I think Barnes is gonna be pretty nice. After the 40 point game yesterday he wasn't gonna fall to the Jazz. Now he might. Of course, there's the NCAA tournament to mess that up.

No, Barnes is not super amazingly polished in his freshman year in the ACC but c'mon, you look for the potential, the IQ, etc. and then hope there are a lot of people that look at the boxscore and discard the kid.

That a is not in any order see there are some good talent there. Not including the 3 euros. Looking at who is drafting in front of us

Cleveland they say that they want Irving which makes since. I think Williams is also another good fit. Theybalso like barnes.

Minny I could see them taking kanter right here. It is a little high but fills a huge need for them. They need a 2 guard if thebthink barnes can play the 2 the might look at him but kanter is a much better fit. Williams maybe but doesn't fit a need although best player situation.

Sactown they need a center and pg. The could also use a wing. I like the fit of williams a here. Gives them a popular player for their new move. The could go kanter but they want the #1 to take Irving.

Wasington really needs depth so best player available is their pick. 2 guard is the biggest need but none available. I say best available is perry jones. He reminds me a lot Rashard Lewis. Sounds like a good mentor. If kanter falls here they take him.

Toronto they need about everything. Their biggest weakness is sf and this where I see barnes going. They will take a long look at the euros but barnes is the best fit.

Utah Sullinger is best available but it is a position we don't need. Terrence jones is best for the position we need. He is a stronger version of ak. His shot is surpring this year. It comes down to who Toronto takes.

Detroit would be dancing in the street getting Sullinger this low.

There aren't any saviors in this draft. No one of the board looks like they have superstar potential. There are some nice looking prospects, and some players (Williams, Irving) that look like future all-stars. We probably won't have a shot at those 2 so I just hope we get two solid pieces for the future.

Barnes looks like a fine prospect to me. Savior? Probably not, but could be another solid piece. Kid looks polished for a kid one year removed from HS.
I'd love to add him to Favors, Hayward, and Big Al.

Thriller is bashing Barnes, but who else is a better prospect than him at this point in the 4-7 range?

Does everyone think Perry Jones suspension will be knock him out of the top 4? He was projected so high before - and now that he's not playing he can't mess up his "potential" with actual play. I'm hoping some GM will salivate over his size and athleticism so much that he can't pass him up. This would allow one of the other top 7 to fall to the Jazz.

Then again, he'd fit right in with CJ, AK, and Raja. He bricked a ton of jumpshots in the first half which helped bury his team, is continually chucking away as his team falls behind by double digits, and isn't playing a lick of defense.

Yes. Get us Barnes. He alone will prevent us from being in the lottery again next year. He will own Kobe and Lebron and we'll win the NBA championship next year. for sure...

I wouldn't. I think think competitive desire and mental toughness are important, and I don't think Perry Jones has it. I'd look at Terrence Jones, Jan Vesely, and Kemba Walker.

I haven't watched him play but the comparison is T-Mac and the fact that he couldn't make his college team win enough to make the NCAA tournament makes me wonder if he is one of those guys who can score and look good on highlights but not help you actually win.

You point the finger at me, I'm calling your boy out. Defend him. I want to know why the Jazz should draft this guy. Sure, he had a great game a night ago, dumping 40. Today? an equally horrible game. Defend your boy. If he can't score on Singler, what makes you think he can score on NBA players?

Just like you Barnes is only 18 years old. Give him few years and he going to be a good 1.
