2011 draft.....

Jazz are most likely not going to get the black falcon since he has gone back to school. Unless he totally tanks he will be long gone before the Jazz draft next year. The GS pick is top 7 protected so the best the Jazz can hope for is the 8th pick.

Not if the Jazz pick is better...

I never knew Knight was so young. Obviously he's going to be one of the young guys in the draft because he's coming out after his freshman year, but I guess he's by far the youngest guy in the draft, and according to DraftExpress he's younger than a lot of HS seniors. Kid got really good grades (4.3 GPA) so maybe he skipped a year?

I am fully expecting, and almost hoping that this happens. I'd much rather be awful for one and a half seasons, and develop the young guys to be formidable in 2-3 years for multiple years, than average 40-45 wins every year. I think the Jazz can copy what OKC did, but hopefully do it in half the time.

Earlier today, I realized that I hadn't done any homework on Reggie Jackson but holy ****. (>)50/(>)40/(<)80 percentages, 1.5 PPS (18 ppg on 12 shots), one of the three best players in isos on the season, 4.3 rpg, 4.5 apg (about a 2:1 assist/turnover ratio) in an athletic 6' 3", 200+ pound body with room to build and a great wingspan? Consider me sprung.

The downside is he is 21 so you can't really hope that he suddenly becomes a passing point guard. So do we want a scorer/combo guard at 12?

Check his game log on ESPN and see how he does against the better schools. That should calm you down a little bit...

Knight announces he is staying in the draft: https://sports.espn.go.com/nba/draft2011/news/story?id=6492876

Knight is the first of three Kentucky underclassmen to announce his intentions after testing the draft waters. Freshman Terrence Jones and junior DeAndre Liggins have not announced their plans before Sunday's NCAA deadline for early-entry players to withdraw from the draft.

Jones and Liggins still not sure.

If Jones is out this draft is so much weaker.
