I don't understand why people go to a thread about a sport only to point and ridicule the sport. You don't like baseball? Good for you. When I find something boring and hard to watch, I tend to stay out of threads about it. That's why I rarely post on the Jazz board.

I do think they should drop the play in game and just go with best record. I guess I could see a play in game if they had the exact same record.

I guess I can root for a Braves/A's series with the A's winning it all.

Figured the Pirates would take it last night, Liriano's been bomb all season. Baseball is so unpredictable. All the NL series' look to be brutal and if the Indian's win tonight they will probably get destroyed in the first round.
I ****ing hate the Cardinals, but I will say Tigers over Cardinals in the world series. I expect to be wrong.

The point of the Wild Card game is to reward division winners.

Think of it like how the top 2 teams from each conference in the NFL get first round byes.

I like it. It keeps more teams in the playoff race longer and makes it crazy important to win the division.
