What's new

2013 MLB Postseason

Their offense will wear these top pitchers down. They don't have a lot of power, but they just hav professional hitters up and down the lineup, and the top of the rotation is as good as any.

Biggest key for the braves is Justin. He's hitting right now but the power isn't there right now, and a big wild card is Evan Gattis. Hayward has reinvented himself this year as a lead off guy and Freeman is the best kept secret in baseball.

I'll be excited to watch them play. I've watched them the least of any of the playoff teams

Speed is a good attribute. I reckon he's a good defender as well (I don't really know, just guessing).
Neither would/will probably produce at the plate in the playoffs, but at least Upton can come in and protect a lead with good outfield play or pinch-run.
Uggla is so garbage. He wouldn't be able to hit hr's in the playoffs where pitchers are actually good and focus more.

True. Just venting, because I don't want Upton on the roster either, I just hope they are smart enough to sit his *** on the bench. Here's a fun fact. The braves paid over 30million for two guys in the starting lineup that hit at 180 or lower.

Lol that's pretty sad. But you take the good with the bad, like the aforementioned Chris Johnson, 96 wins, and a division title.

Could be worse, look at the Yankees. They paid lots for people who didn't even play.

What good is his speed if he can't get on base, and Jordan Schafer's speed is as good and more then capable in center for the braves and has hit 100 times better, and gets on base more.

Lol this is true, but never been so frustrated with a braves team that won a division. At the same time though, at least they aren't the Nats. That was a complete train reck. They were touted by many as the best team in baseball. All I can think is a lot of guys had career years the year before.

Pinch-running comes into play. Red Sox fans should be thankful for Dave Roberts.

Well, Rays v Indians went pretty much how I though it would
Good season for the Indians tho

Avi will probably pitch the 8th, and he's been great this year, and the Dodgers ain't scoring against the best closer in baseball.

Dude just rolls out of bed and gets extra base hits. Nasty. Just nasty.

Clayton Kershaw going tonight for the close-out. Not sure how I feel about this decision.
