2018 Annual JazzFanz All-Time NBA Draft

With the 34th pick I take Hall of Famer Moses Malone.

Great pick. He was my backup option if you’d decided to keep Ewing. I just feel like Patrick Ewing is a better fit for my team.

Love Moses Malone. One of the greatest tragedies in Jazz history is trading his rights back to the NBA.

With pick #36 I'm going a direction I don't expect everyone to agree with, but fills too many roles to pass up imo:

-another defensive anchor at a position of need
-a bit of nasty/vocal leadership
-not a traditional star, but excels in the #4 guy role
-proven chemistry with my #1 guy

That’s a hell of a good pick, is he starting or on the bench?

He just made two picks

I was very tempted to go back to Georgetown for another center but went with Moses instead, you can never have enough guys with biblical names.

Eminence has a killer 4 man lineup with Curry-West-Green-Walton

Thanks, extremely happy with how those 4 fit, and think they all do a great job of magnifying surrounding talent, so even if the rest of my picks fall kind of late I think the team will still come together nicely :)

Rudy Gobert?
Giannis Antetokounmpo?
Draymond Green?

All in the top-40 of an all-time NBA draft.

Recency bias is showing strong.
Yes and no. Modern athletes are (mostly) superior to those from past eras.

18. Anthony Davis
27. Rudy Gobert
33. Giannis Antetokounmpo
36. Draymond Green

Last year . . .

26. Rudy Gobert
28. Anthony Davis
35. Giannis Antetokounmpo
36. Draymond Green

If you have some of these guys as specific targets, you might have to pick them early to get them. I don’t have another pick until 64, and I know my target wasn’t lasting that long.
