Don't be so modest! However, this deal is brilliant
This is also one of your worst ideas which makes this a real good time.

Not much to say about this other then, ARE YOU HIGH!!!! Idiot!!
Simmons doesn't provide anything this team doesn't already have in spades.
So I guess we can't use another great perimeter defender who attacks the basket and shoots the 3 at 34%. I forgot there is a limit to how many of those you can have.
If Crowder becomes our starting PF, which is very likely, our 2nd unit is Exum, O'Neale, the nonguaranteeds and maybe a worthy rookie. I would rather have a proven guy who does everything we appreciate than a rookie who is a crapshoot.
When I open up a Lopo trade thread
Phoenix was dead last in the NBA at 33.4% from three as a team.
34% stinks for a wing.
I’ll take the draft pick with upside and a minimum of 7 years of team control over a guy who isn’t nearly as good as you make him out to be for one. . . maybe two years. So I guess wie can't use another great perimeter defender who attacks the basket and shoots the 3 at 34%. I never suggested the Jazz should do anything. You need to learn how to read boy.You just suggested, today, that we should trade Rubio, Crowder and #21 for Kevin Love. You are the biggest hypocrite I've ever seen on this forum. Rubio (who DM loves), Crowder (who our FO pursued for years), and #21 (a pick everybody has high hopes for) all for a guy who doesn't fit on either side of the court.
I have really put out some bad trade ideas in the past. I own it. Your idea is the worst idea I've ever seen. Ever on this forum and that's not hyperbole.
Jonathon Simmons plays for Orlando. Donovan Mitchell shoots 34% from 3. We should trade him. Any great ideas Cy?

Buy low - sell high. Your trade is the opposite of that. O’Neale is a better option for getting increased minutes over making a deal like this.
If Crowder becomes our starting PF, I imagine that they’ll use their resources (including Burks expiring contract) and add a guy to compete for that starting job.
If the Jazz grab a wing in free agency or trade, he needs to either be able to create his own shot or be lights out from downtown. I’d take a shot at adding any of Tyreke Hill, Joe Harris, Will Barton or Mario Hezonja before even thinking about getting Jonathon Simmons.

The Fresh Prince jokingly brought up getting Love and George, and I just outlined a way that COULD happen. I clearly stated I would not do that trade.
Learn to read. You suggested it. Don't back down now kid. It's too dumb to type. You should watch your own typing before you lash out typing **** about others. Key board warrior troll.

From 2011, here’s the list of guys drafted between 21 and 34 that I’d rather have on the Jazz instead of Jonathon Simmons. The trade is about getting better for next year. There are 50 guys you have featured in the prospect thread, most will flop. We have a better chance of finding a gem in the vet workout the other day than #21. I like a few prospects, but most are pie in the sky.
Simmons is so much better than Burks and we might find a better player at #35 than #21. The PG stuff is window dressing. Read the posts.

Nikola Mirotic (#22)
Bobby Portis (#22)
Jarrett Allen (#22)
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (#23)
OG Anunoboy (#23)
Clint Capela (#25)
Rudy Gobert (#27)
Kyle Kuzma (#27)
Bogdan Bogdanovic (#27)
Larry Nance, Jr. (#27)
Dejounte Murray (#29)
Jimmy Butler (#30)
Kyle Anderson (#30)
Cedi Osman (#31)
Joe Harris (#33)
Jae Crowder (#34)
This draft seems pretty deep. There’s always talent availabile and the Jazz are one of the best teams at identifying that talent. I’d rather roll the dice on a rookie than trade the pick away. If anything, I’d hope to move up and increase the chances of getting a guy they’ve specifically targeted.
I also didn’t include about a dozen players that I’d have considered better value than trading for Jonathon Simmons - except they’ve either gotten a contract I think is higher than their value or they haven’t done anything yet and they’re only interesting to me because of upside and potential.I agree almost with this entire part in bold. I want to win now so I don't want to roll the dice. Gobert, Ingles, Crowder and maybe Favors deserve for us to provide a quality player this year and not just a roll of the dice. I want them to use this pick. But like I said, I'd understand if the FO does something like this if they have a few guys and they know one will be there at #35.
Side note: you didn't really do a good job of making your point. Since 2011, there have been 98 guys drafted from 21-34 and you listed 16 who you like over Simmons. And some of those could be argued, but even so, there are 82 guys who haven't done anything.
Jae Crowder is not starter quality....You mentioned the trade multiple times. You said you wouldn't do it, but you said it was fair. I read it clearly. I read all the quality and all the garbage. You have to understand the market for Love which you obviously don't. If Cleveland were to get two younger, starter quality players and a pick in the low 20's for aging, defensive liability Kevin Love, I'll be the first one to say you're a genius.
