Plus he missed playoff games and was not good in the playoffs. I assume this competition is more like the playoffs. Embiid has not done much with his career yet.

But your point is full of hyperbole. He’s been 2nd team all nba. His stats are great. He’s the engine of that 50+ win team. He helped take the eventual nba champs to a crazy hard fought seven games.

Say he’s too banged up too often for you. But to say he’s proven nothing is ridiculous.

He missed a lot of regular season games, 19 is a significant number. He had multiple other all-stars on his team to help get them to that record. When it mattered in the playoffs he was banged up and did not play all that well due to being injured. Against the NBA champs the 76ers went to 7 games but he really only had 1 good game in that series. He shot terrible in game 7 and maybe shot his team out of it going 6 for 18. He shot 36% in that series against Toronto for 17 points and 4 turnovers per game. It was not a great series for him, he is a big reason they lost.

He is still mostly potential until he stays healthy and proves himself more in the playoffs.
 
Then what’s Gobert proven? He’s gotten no further in the playoffs. He scores waaaay less, rebounds less, gets less assists...

Plays better defense, gets more double doubles, misses less games, is more efficient, has a greater effect on the offense and defense of his team......

Embiid is a center who shoots 48% from the field btw. He shoots 30% from 3. He needs to stop shooting 3's. I wouldn't even guard him. He is quite a bit worse shooter than Rubio.

My statements had nothing to do with how far the Embiid made it in the playoffs.

Nor did I state that he needed more points, rebounds, or assists.

Gobert has been the best player for 3 years on playoff teams. Had the only year been his first year when he was hurt then he would be in a similar boat to Embiid.
 
Gandalfe’s roster is offensive. UB in a route while Gandalfe’s team fights each other for the ball.

I can’t believe this is even close.
