I wasn't familiar with Hart's defense and found a Reddit Lakers page. They are critical of his perimeter defense and man-to-man defense but a few posters claimed his post defense is solid:

I haven't watched him enough to know how Hart is on defense. I just remember he scored a lot toward the end of his rookie season.

His shooting percentages have dipped hard too... Honestly... Royce does a lot of what he does... bad take by me. Someone else would give a late first for him doe... I'm fairly sure.

It sounds like he really doesn't want to go to Boston... also him and Kyrie are close... it sounds like Kyrie is out and that is part of the reason AD doesn't want to go there.

I would be so happy if Celtics fell apart... just let's get KD/AD/Kyrie in NY... not LA mkay.

EXACTLY. If AD wanted Boston, there is zero reason whatsoever for him to make this trade demand now. He knows Boston can't trade right now. This timing was intentional.

As for best case scenario for the NBA - a trade of AD to NY is exactly what this league needs. The West is getting freaking ridiculous. Considering Kawhi likely heads west this summer, we really don't need AD going west.

Kyrie, AD and Porzingis would be good, but I don't think they would be Golden State good.

With Anthony Davis going to the Lakers. Any way we can get in on a 3 way deal for someone decent. (I know Anthony isnt a sure thing but it is highly likely)
 
Holiday is a pipe dream... I think Philly would easily trump what we could offer. The philly pick and the future Miami pick plus expirings is pretty much better than our max offer. Could also add Zhaire Smith/Fultz/Bolden etc.

All comes down to what NOLA thinks of Fultz. If they don't like him, Philly isn't sending a top asset for Jrue. Same with us and Exum.

The biggest thing going for Philly is that is where Jrue would love to be. Hopefully NOLA could take all of Philly's draft assets but damn, that Philly team would be nasty.

The Miami pick is really juicy... their pick is similar to ours. I think Fultz has more intrigue than Exum (just a guess... there is more baggage there too). Just the 2 picks are enough to trump our deal... they could also get Smith in their. Maybe they wouldn't... but they should imo.
 
Lakers are going for the AD/Lebron/Kyrie core... Kyrie would have to take slightly less than the max... but literally everything for the Lakers could or would need to go. Wagner, Hart, Bonga, Svi (unguaranteed so maybe he doesn't have to go) plus all the "good" stuff - Kuzma, Ball, Ingram...

If it happens there is some interesting spare parts that could be had for cheap... will be interesting. Like what if Kuzma or Ingram become available for a spare first? Hart plus Wagner for a first (to send to NO)... Bonga, Svi for seconds (maybe for LA to keep).

It's gonna be frickin crazy.

Philly can beat our offer for sure.

That is pretty much putting the entire Philly team together though. They wouldn't have money to add to that core of Simmons, Embiid, Butler, Jrue and Redick.

Would Philly sacrifice any other future addition just to get Jrue?

What makes it even more complicated is that KCP has a no trade clause. And supposedly, he would not okay a trade to NOLA. So that means all those little contracts have to be traded and NOLA only has so many roster spots they can open up in order to complete a trade.

Would they trade Rondo or Stephenson to make it work financially or combine all those Wagner, Bonga, Hart, Zubac guys to a 3rd team to make the trade more possible?
