How about Exum and Davis for the first part, then just not doing the second part?

There's some restriction on re-obtaining him. Perhaps that's just if they cut him (he'd have to be released by another team), but I'm not sureif we can trade directly for him.

I think that's only on if he gets waived/cut/bought-out by the team he's traded to.

I’d be down for Exum for Thaddeus Young.

He’d fix many of our defensive issues on the bench, and improving our scoring there and depth overall.

What do we need most?

An upgrade at the 4?
Upgrade at the backup 1?
Upgrade at the backup 5?

I honestly feel like Bradley is a decent backup 5. Mudiay is a great backup point guard (and Mitchell and Ingles and Exum can all fill in)

Mudiay is a stop-gap. I bought in early but have sold my stock. He absolutely has good games, but only the worst defensive teams respect his shot at all, so the ball goes in his hands, sticks, and then he puts up a mid-range 2 far too often.

I'd personally just have Mitchell and Conley spell each other at the 1 after getting another wing somehow (or a 4 that would move Royce to the wing in the second unit).

If we could get Thad Young, what does the FA market could like in 2020 for centers and 1’s. Assuming we can use the full MLE, is there a decent crop of 1’s or 5’s who warrant such money out there?

Mudiay is great?

Yes. For his price and his age and his role.
Man imagine our bench without his scoring. Damn that would be ugly.
His plus/minus is dope too

My pipe dream is Thad Young for Exum, I think. Young’s a legit player. He’d be our 7th real NBA player. Then, in the off-season, go after Augustin, Dragic or Teague for the full MLE (pipe dream for the last two aim sure).
