of course niang wasn't a threat from 3... until now.
he was 1 for 12 from deep in his first NBA season. then went on to miss all of his 3 pt attempts his second season.
he finally shot 40% from 3 last year, on extremely low volume, and was plainly awful during playoffs.
he's been on fire of late and as a jazz fan, i certainly hope he keep it up, which would be difficult since opponents now will be less inclined to leave him open on purpose
but don't pretend by looking at his shooting numbers from his early years, one can make conclusion that he's some kinda threat from deep since he was barely on any other team's scouting report.
