2020 NBA trade deadline discussion

With Niang and Bradley playing well I really don’t see us making a move.

I think it’s unlikely that the jazz move Conley. Moving a vet and a guy making big money that quickly is bad form. It would make it really difficult for the Jazz to sign good players in the future because players would remember mike getting shipped off after 20 games of under performing. I think it hurts the team too much long-term to move him. And nobody wants Ed Davis so it’s unlikely we move him and get anything serviceable in return.

Has been my feeling. It's been nice the past few games, but we're turning a blind eye if that's the case. Harden may actually kill us at the rim if we're playing Bradley in the playoffs. I've been impressed with him the past 2-3 games, but it's silly to move forward based on such a small sample size. I wish we used the "don't read too much into small sample sizes" on both sides of the equation. I feel FO only applies that when things aren't working out, but not when we're currently on the benefiting end of a fluke.

Unless an obvious upgrade deal walks through the door we hold... if these guys play well in the small sample it at least boosts their trade value.

I said it a while ago but I think we'll sign a player who is waived come deadline time. We could well send out someone like Davis for a 2nd to open up the roster spot.
