2020 NBA trade deadline discussion

I just don't see Golden State taking Wiggins.

I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t have to move him if the Warriors didn’t want him. They could easily just move Covington + Dieng in multi-team deal.

they must think they can fix him... I say go for it Warriors... you are light years ahead of everyone...

It's financially possible, but the question is? Who is Atlanta trading? If they deal Turner, Parsons or Teague, it gets very complicated because they make so much money. The could do...

Warriors get Dieng
Hawks get Capella
Wolves get Russell and Jabari (acts as expiring)
Rockets get Covington and Len

I'm assuming the Warriors get picks from the Hawks and Wolves in this scenario

We can hate on his defense, rebounding, but dude is cash and he shoots a ton of threes. He has a really useful skill... its just if he doesn't hit on that particular night then he will be a negative on the court.

Putting him on the court with JC and DM gives them some space, but pairing him with them and TB on defense leaves us small and unathletic.

He's a spot we can upgrade on but still useful... if he played on one of these teams with terrible defense he'd likely be a guy some here think we should target.

he isn't consistent enough though, he doesn't belong on our team neither in the nba. he just is off more than he is on. he just had a good stretch one stretch. he would be the mvp of the g league. We need to upgrade him on our roster.

If Niang or TB are important in getting a legit piece you really want, you trade them. I am fairly certain their value isn't higher for other teams than ours, in which case you keep them. Teams need depth and that's what they should be for the Jazz. Neither should really be in the rotation but both should remain on the team for that depth, and if they aren't necessary to make a deal work then that is exactly what should occur.

Look I don't know if we got what it takes to get him... but we should push in what we have to do it. I mean outside of the top 7 guys. I don't know if he anchors a defense well enough, but he'd do some positive things on that side and the offense would be amazing. Could push Joe back to the bench because he'd have a stud pick and roll partner. He can play alongside Rudy when the Lakers go big... this is the dude. The fake handoff drive and dunk is something we don't have that would open things up for Bojan, Joe, DM etc.

Someone tweet tony jones asking him if he thinks we could trade for Wood, Vonleh, or Baynes.
I want Wood... that's all... okay I'd be okay with the others. I'm prepared to be disappointed.

The other guys are stopgap dudes that won't raise the ceiling of the team, but would help us not suck as much when Rudy is off the floor. I think Wood could change things a bit for us.

Like I think 2 seconds would do it for Detroit... I'm not sure our front office would go with a less proven guy... gut I look at how well Wood is playing and think about what our development staff could do with all that. Try it before you buy it has value.

We have our 2022 second (the double draft) and a Cleveland second in 2024 I believe. Those are solid imo.
