2020 Presidential election

This seems significant

I don't typically like national polls seeing as how the electoral college is all that matters. What really matters is the battleground polls in a half-dozen states.

Elections should simply be based on popular vote anyway, but nothing America does is simple or common sense much of the time.

I mostly agree. But an 11 pt national lead is so significant that it probably will show Trump’s loss of popularity in swing states. Biden might not be up 11 pts in swing states. But I think this shows a trend. And it’s only going to get worse as this pandemic worsens, the economy continues to crash, and Donald continues to produce Biden campaign ads with these press conferences.

Possibly, but November is also seven months away. Hard to predict with any accuracy what the pandemic and economy will look like closer to that time.

This is going to be the dirtiest and most mudslinging in a campaign we'll ever see - I have no doubt about that.

Lol check the replies to that tweet. Same situation with Hillary and we know how that ended up.

You probably intended that as sarcasm, but the polls were pretty accurate.

Polls narrowed a ton in the final weeks. I think a lot of people simply didn't want to recognize them and considered them outliers. 'Trump can't win!' - well, guess what, he did.

This campaign is going to be a bit different though - people legitimately hated Hillary. I don't think people think the same as Biden - old-fashioned, running on E, etc., but they don't vilify him. Many of Biden's strengths will help him in the Midwest. And don't expect not to hear 'I was a boy from Scranton, PA' all the time - those 20 electoral votes and one more swing state would send him over 270.
