2020 Presidential election

voting for Trump this time around. I know that is not popular on here, but I think he has done a fabulous job during this crisis. I think he will help rebuild the economy. I've spent a lot of time the last two weeks reading everything I could get my hands on from both sides of the isle and I believe he will be the better choice this time around. I know many feel he has done more than poor when it comes to this crisis. I just vehemently disagree. Won't argue... everyone has their opinion.
Still wish we had someone in the D party that could compete. Biden has lost 5 steps, he's a mess. I know... Putting on flack jacket now. I'm good with it.

Curious on why you believe he’s done exceptional during this crisis. Entirely entitled to your opinion, but trying to understand your position further.

I think Trump is likely to win re-election in large part due to the perception that he'll stand up to China more than Joe Biden will......and also the perception that Biden can barely stand up at all. But that said, the economy is all but completely falling apart right now, and his administration needs to show progress in putting it back together.

Much different than it is now. The perception of him now vs. then is huge, as is McCain and George W. Bush. Public perception and politics is all about recency bias. Mitt was perceived as a rich, white male who cared little for anyone but those like him. A stark contrast to current interpretations of integrity and honor. Because of his fairly squeaky clean past, stories about his depravity included putting the dog cage on top of the car in the 1980s and possibly saying the F word to a volunteer at the 2002 Winter Olympics. Also google “binders full of women,” because that was a pretty big thing.

Actually, it appears to have its own Wikipedia page.

But it does depend because “general consensus” is polarized. In short, Romney was much more beloved by the right, and much more despised by the left, whereas now that’s flipped. But it’s kind of like if you were to go back to 2008 and see the general consensus of W Bush and then fast forward over 10 years and seeing him dancing on Ellen.

I feel pretty much the same about him now as I did then.
I have always liked Romney

As someone who did not vote for him, I never once thought of him as being other than honorable and integral. I thought then (and still think) that he did not have deep political conviction, but I don't recall ever questioning his personal integrity.

However, if your point is that our perception of people is in part affected by the times and environment that those people are in, I agree.

Second part is my point. While people would say honor and integrity are some of his hallmarks now, a large part of that is the environment of going against Trump. When he was going against Obama, who in many’s minds stood for good things, honor and integrity weren’t the descriptors brought to differentiate him, but rather his wealth, his uncaring about others, and his inherent sexism.
 
If you’re Biden’s campaign, don’t you just run this campaign ad over and over and over again?
