2021 Draft Homer Official List

The other guy I'm very high on is Springer. I haven't seen a second of him play but the draft nerds love him. I've seen the numbers and I'm blindly with them.

The case for Springer:

- He's only 18
- Strong steal/block numbers which are strong statistical indicators
- 43% from 3 and 81% from the line
- High free throw rate, good FG% at and low assisted% at the rim shows great ability to attack the rim
- Decent TS% despite high volume and terrible efficiency from mid range. Can improve here and potentially be a star, or can be taken out of his game to be a highly efficient role player

Again, haven't watched film on him, but he is the guy where I'm struggling to understand why he's not ranked higher.

I'm starting to like Grimes at 30. He's got perimeter shooting and hustles on defense. Possibly a Jazz type of player. And maybe buy an early 2nd rd pick and get one of these guys, JT Thor, Herb Jones, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, Bones Hyland and Jason Preston as well.

I'm coming around on Grimes as well. A Danny Green type if things work out for him?

I don't know how easy it will be to buy an early 2nd rounder. A late second rounder? Sure. But all the best pickings will be gone by then.

Springer is an exceptional athlete with great balance, quickness and advanced timing. His athleticism translates well on the defensive end, where he moves laterally as well as anyone in the draft that I've seen. He's super young and still developing as a basketball player. He's playing off of instinct and natural ability right now and will need to develop into a role. If he's dropping relative to other guys, it's because he's a bit raw.
