2021 Free Agency

Shooting is a problem, yes. But he's always been good for net rating stuff (at least according to B-Ref). Where are you seeing the negative net ratings?
From that website he was +1 this year and negative 4 of his 7 years in the league. He's never had a positive playoff rating. This year he was -14.

According to NBA.com he's been a huge net rating negative for his career in the playoffs and regular season a small positive usually around 8th best on the team.

We need an athletic and long 3-And-D player. If we don't get it, then we aren't better this season. Arguably worse and we won't be able to beat the LA teams, GSW, and the nets without one.

The problem is, everyone wants the same thing and it comes at a premium. The good ones are under contract already, and the old passable ones all want to play in large markets like Miami or LA.

We’re going to have to trade for it, and it’s going to come at a major, painful price if it happens. Fortunately, we have a lot of elite shooting to offer in trades, which is something that also comes at a premium. It’s going to cost Joe or Bogey to get a difference maker that plays perimeter defense.

Maybe we get someone like an OPJ with a TPLME but even he is a major ? with health concerns.

Interestingly, Rudy Gay and OPJ have not announced yet, so maybe?

The Knicks will be paying a combined 59M a year for Fournier, Rose, Noel and Burks lolz.

What’s the worst deal today? Trent 3 for 54M seems premature. Has he showed THAT much?
Tough question. In my opinion either Alex Caruso or Lonzo Ball. But then again at least they're still young and can improve. The Lowry and Paul contracts are ridiculous.

TBH, for all the bitching and moaning around here, the Jazz have gotten great deals on Jingles, Bogdanovic, Clarkson and Conley in free agency. Some of these deals are so incredibly stupid. Can’t believe teams are throwing around that kind of money on seriously mediocre players. Still don’t agree with DL’s team-building philosophy, but he still got a few decent free agents signed and extended on contracts that hold up over time.
