2022 NBA Draft Thread: We Going to Have a Pick! (lmao jk)

Unless somebody moves up in the lotto I don't really see a way we're picking at the very top of the lotto. HOU/ORL/DET/OKC are just too early in their rebuilds to trade for either of our guys imo.

Don't really know anything about Sharpe.

I like Murray and Eason in the mid to later lotto. I liked Dyson Daniels in the g-league, later 1st. EJ Liddell is another guy I'd really like in the mid to later 1st.

Jazz will sign Jimmer and he will rescue us.

Jabari is just too different than those guys to make such an assumption. he could be anything from a poor man's rashard lewis to kevin durant type guy.

Sharpe won't be there 7-9 - i think the furthest he falls is 5. in fact, i wouldn't be surprised at this point if he sneaks into that top three and displaces one of banchero, smith or chet.

Smith just turned 19. He has high-level shooting touch and is a legit defensive presence at the 4. He's got some ability to push the ball and play a bit off the dribble, and he's got the ability to make plays with athletic burst in the paint. Wait til he works on his body and learns to defend out on the floor. He's a pretty exciting prospect, imo.

If I had to come up with a direct comp, I'd say he's a more fluid and mobile version of JJJ.

I think Keegan Murray should be a solid starter-level player, a smooth scorer, though more of a complementary scorer than a star. Think Saddiq Bey with a little more offensive versatility and overall upside. He may develop more of an off-the-dribble game. I could see the Jazz coaches working with him and getting him there. He has prototypical size for a modern forward.

I've watched Jabari all year - he's mostly just a shooter, but just the fact i said he has some KD in him tells you how highly i think of him. but for now, he's a jump shooter - an amazing one for his age, but he still needs to improve a lot to become a perennial all star type guy. i'd take him number 1 overall at this point, but he's not a lock there. there are absolutely questions about his game.

I really like Keegan and think he has a chance to be special. I saw a Danny Granger comp and that seems pretty close. a danny granger that extends his peak 5 or 6 more years is a damn good player. keegan probably has a bit more potential on the glass and defensively.

Like Michael Porter with a brain? and not broken physically?

I just think he has a pretty high floor (even though he may not live up to #1 pick status) and he has a high ceiling too.

I tend to give 18 year-olds the benefit of the doubt. Smith has some handle, some athletic burst after the gather and good feel. And yeah, I love his ability and confidence to rise up and shoot from distance.

I think he's going to develop.

His 2FG% is pitiful and that's what scares me. He took so many mid range shots and wasn't good at them. Is that because of the spacing in college? I sure don't know. OTOH....6'10, competitive, athletic, and 42% from 3 on good volume + lowish assisted rate is a rare combo. To me he has a wider range of outcomes than Chet. IMO, Chet is likely to be an all star player, but unlikely to be a top 10 player. Jabari could be that guy, but he could also be a chucker.
