2022 NBA Draft Thread: We Going to Have a Pick! (lmao jk)

Terquavion Smith is a name that is getting a lot of hype now too.

Teammates of Dereon Seabron. Tested really well athletically. Rail-thin. Has average combo-guard height/length. Is known as a microwave scorer type. Not efficient at all in college, but had some huge games. Very Jordan Clarksony.

let @Ferguson_Mellochill have his fun... the other day he comped Mark Williams to Dikembe as if that was a bad thing (I think) at the 13th pick. He has said Hardy is Bradley Beal and other such silliness. He is like the old nbadraft.net comps... everyone is Michael Jordan or Kevin Durant.
One of his more… umm… fun moments was when he compared Archie Goodwin to Michael Jordan multiple times.

Couple things here:

-- I said Williams did look like Mutombo at Georgetown. It's a loose comparison and a compliment. It's also the type of player that the league and the Jazz are trending away from, given that we already have Gobert and are looking to trade him. If the Jazz still want the rim-protector/rim-runner archetype, he's as good as any in this draft.

-- Hardy does have Bradley Beal potential, and Adam Spinella, who is a one of the better online draft analysts, has him in his top 6 prospects. The Ringer says he shows "shades of Beal," for whatever that's worth.

Yeah, it's all in fun, but when I make a comp, I'm often talking about that player's role and ability to fit with a team. It's not a literal projection of how good a player should become.
