Shortening TroatGuru's list from last time:

FIRST ROUND
If you guess right only the number of games you get 1 point
If you guess right only the winner you get 3 points
If you guess right beth the number of games and the winner you get 6 points

Example
Jazz vs Grizzlies I predict Jazz in 5
If the real result is Memphis in 6 I’ll get 0 point
If the real result is Memphis in 5 I’ll get 1 point
If the real result is Jazz in 6 I’ll get 3 points
If the real result is Jazz in 5 I’ll get 6 point

SECOND ROUND
If you guess right only the number of games you get 2 points
If you guess right only the winner you get 6 points
If you guess right beth the number of games and the winner you get 12 points

CONFERENCE FINALS
If you guess right only the number of games you get 3 points
If you guess right only the winner you get 9 points
If you guess right both the number of games and the winner you get 18 points

NBA FINALS
If you guess right only the number of games you get 4 points
If you guess right only the winner you get 12 points
If you guess right both the number of games and the winner you get 24 points

You have until one hour before the start of any series to guess it.

If you guess a series before the previous round is done, replacements will fill in automatically (so if you guess Suns in 5 - Jazz in 6 - Suns over Jazz in 5, and Clippers win round 1, it would be converted to Clippers over Jazz in 5, unless you change it).

Suns in 4
Jazz in 6
Warriors in 5
Grizzlies in 5
Heat in 5
76ers in 7
Bucks in 4
Celtics in 6

Suns in 4 if NOP, 6 if LAC.
Memphis in 6.
Warriors in 6.
Jazz in 6.

Heat in 6.
Boston and Nets go 7. Coin toss.*
Milwaukee in 7.
Philly in 5.

*ETA: I’ll go Boston because I have to have an official prediction, but I still stick with coin toss.

I'm going to say it, home court is overrated. If you go on the road and steal even one of the first two games you're WAY more ahead than winning your first two home games.

I dare anyone to debate me on this.

I don’t know about overrated, but definitely a different dynamic there where the pressure’s on you to defend home court.

4-0. Home court doesn't matter
4-1. Home court doesn’t matter
4-2. Home court doesn’t matter (each team had 3 home games).
4-3. Home court matters

Teams that win the first 2 games at home win the series 93.5% of the time.

Teams that win the first game on the road win the series 50.5% of the time.

An inherent bias in this, though. The team winning first game on the road was seeded lower. 4-5 matchups are often close record-wise, but in the three other matchups those disparities grow. Harder for a 6 seed to bump a 3, and successively harder in 2-7 and 1-8 matchups. I’d be curious what the numbers are in a 4-5.
