The whole premise of my post is around the fact that our front office, coach, and players have consistently talked about a short rebuild, and so my assumption is that we will be trying to win next year. If that's just noise and not true, then yeah I would assume a project like Bilal would get some more playing time.

Even then, I feel like Hardy and staff believe in a slow development process. Even a 4 year guy like Ochai spent time in the G-League when he wasn't ready for the NBA right away.

I think this is important to remember as we talk about all of these guys that we really like, most of them won't live up to our lofty expectations of them. I don't think it's crazy for you not to believe in Hendricks, even though I disagree with you. Locke has talked about Hendrick's general lack of feel for the game, so him taking some time to learn that could be a second team scenario. For the record, I'm not sure if I agree with Locke, but if he's right then that would make sense.

Personally I have Hendricks as a very high floor player just because every team needs shooting and rim protection, and there are few players to project to be as talented in both those areas as he is.
 
Kind of an interesting thought though, if you had to pick 4 of the top ten that end up as below league average players, who would you pick?

I think the most likely would be Thompson Twins, Walker, and Black. The reasoning for all of them is shooting. If you can't shoot and you aren't a center, you are very likely a below league average player.

I haven't thought too hard about this, so I could be swayed. I do recognize that shooting is one of the more likely weaknesses to be improved on.
