I'm also not a complete homer, and I kind of get it. If you think he will primary play the 2 in the NBA, then he's not that exciting. If you are projecting him as a one, there isn't a lot of data to go off of, so you might question that.It doesn't bother me that Cason is falling in the mocks, more chance for him to destroy expectations. I also think it gives him a better chance to get on a good team and be more successful earlier. I think the draft analysts can get a little too cute with their picks, but I'm also not going to pretend like I'm smarter than the guys that do this for a living.
I also think he needs to tighten up his handle. It's fine for a 2, but not good enough for someone primarily playing on
ball in the NBA. FWIW I have similar concerns with Bufkin and Black as 1s in the NBA and I genuinely have no idea how likely it is for someone to develop their handle to that level.
