Yeah....he has zero indicators of developing a shot. Percentages are bad, form is bad, attempts are low, and like you said the misses miss by a lot. If it turns out he can shoot, there was nothing he did in college that was a good reason to believe that.....and if he can't we will look back and say it was obvious. I had this thought awhile ago, but I feel like the most interesting about Anthony Black is that he's 6'7 a PG....but he doesn't really have the skills of a PG. If you look at him as a 6'7 defensive wing and not a PG, which is probably where his skill level is at right now, is he really that exciting? He is not a Lonzo or Giddey where he's a wing sized player with high level PG skills. He's a wing sized guy with (maybe) above average ball skills for a wing but below average compared to other PGs and ball handlers.

I don't want to be too reactive to some bad tourney games and I still very much believe in his defense (he has 3 STL and 1 BLK already btw), but it's really feeling like there's a big gap between the idea of Anthony Black as a prospect and the reality of Anthony Black.

I dont think his form is that bad. It just comes out of his hand bad sometimes. Not really major flaw though, just minor things.

How do you know this? I thought he was Corbin's guy. Burke was never rated as high as Chris Paul was?
 
On the positive for Black, he currently has 5 steaks in this game and he’s scoring better in the second half. He still hasn’t looked like a top 10 pick worthy point guard over these 3 games yet.

To me the thing that makes me believe in his upside is his ability to draw fouls.
 
Update on a guy I would like the Jazz to give a free agent deal to Joel Scott of Black Hills State. He's 6'7" 220 lbs averaged 23 points and 9.3 rebounds and ended up being the all time leading scorer in Division 2 history. Shot .400 from three and is from the Denver area. I know D-2 guys generally don't play in the NBA but this kid looks like he would be worthy on a summer league shot. His team just lost by 5 points in the D-2 final four but he had 30 points, 13 boards and 2 blocks in the game.
