2023 NBA Draft Megathread

I think the league is going to reward the Jazz for being good citizens this year and get them in the top 4. The Jazz didn't egregiously tank, they helped the Lakers and Twolves with trades, and they gave their all during the All Star weekend. I think a big-market team in the Eastern Conference will get Wembanyama (Chicago or Washington). The Hornets will move up in the draft, but not get #1, and the Jazz will round out the top 4, either with San Antonio or Indiana. Detroit, Houston and Orlando won't get rewarded this year, since they've been in the top 4 already in recent years.

So draft order: 1) Chicago/Washington, 2) Charlotte, 3) Indiana/San Antonio, 4) Utah. Jazz will draft a Thompson.
I'll take it.

lmfao. Get real.

If there is such a thing as karma maybe we will get the backlash having not 1 but both lottery picks in the top 4, where I will gladly eat crow a la mode . But right now we are not picking at all in the top 4 , sure as hell not because the "league" fixed it so we could get rewarded for not successfully tanking, if thats really what we were trying to do, but failed.
The truth is we really never tanked like you have to for good odds, and thats not going to get you gifted a top 4 pick unless you really think the fix is in.

If we can't move up to top 4, hopefully at least the Wolves lose 2 games this week so that pick improves a few spots.

Starting a new Mock Draft Thread.

No assigned teams. Full draft.

We will do all 58 picks. Order will be randomized 1-10. If you get "1" you pick 1, 11, 21, 31, 41, and 51.

Sign up in the thread if interested.

Guy from Locked On Draft did an interview with Rupert. Dude learned English during his season in New Zealand.

Rupert said he grew up as a PG before growing and being moved to the wings. Says he can do more than has shown.
