Functional athleticism is your ability to apply your athletic ability on the basketball court. It's why you just cant stick an elite athlete on a basketball court and have them automatically be good at basketball. What is functional athleticism? Is that Joe Ingles in transition? If he gets the job done and beats people we don't care if he is the fastest?
Then just push them to that show instead of on one hand acting like you're an expert and then on the other, use that excuse? That's why he hired draft people to make a draft show....
Not everyone has to be an amateur draft scout.
I thought we hated Brice?Leonard Miller was the Jazz's final pick.
Would not complain about a Brice/Bufkin/L-Miller draft.
To determine athleticism? Vertical. Timed sprints and such. Things of that nature.
I would use a players ability to finish at the rim to indicate how good they are at finishing at the rim but thats just me.Locke is using a player's ability to finish at the rim as an indicator of athleticism.
I think I'm neutral on him. He's a pretty safe pick IMO in that I think his scoring is going to translate pretty easily. The No Ceilings dudes do bring up a good point that it's pretty rare to have a freshman who is both an elite scorer and an elite shooter at a young age.I thought we hated Brice?
That’s one way to describe it.Brice at 9 is WILD.
