2023 NBA Draft Megathread

It's funny to me we always talk about how important taking risk are and how you need high level talent, but when push comes to shove and you got a guy with huge upside staring you in the face you can't make the pick.
Assuming you’re talking Bilal?

If so, you seem to be acting like everyone hates him, where what I am seeing is a lot of us like him a lot, but maybe a spot or 2 below where you have him.

as somebody who is wary of all three, i agree 100%. the only thing i can think of in terms of why you'd like the twins more than bilal is the idea that they are better with the ball. though having said that, bilal is the much better defensive prospect.

Maybe the answer is none of them should go top 10, but however you feel about the mystery box risk....I really don't have a good reason to believe that Twins are more certain than Bilal. Bilal looked like jordan when he was playing against kids.

So if Detroit drafts Ausar at #5, they're probably keeping him. If they draft Black or Walker, they're probably sending him to us.

Never really said anyone hates him, but you got to take these risk a bit higher than you might want to at times.

And it's hilarious EH liked that post when he clearly hates Bilal because he has gone great lengths to outright mischaracterize and lie about his game.

not to mention, we may disagree about his upside. i think most people are consistent as it relates to upside, it's the perception of upside that causes people to pull back a bit. i just question whether bilal's upside is that great. heck, i think the twins, who i have **** on all over this thread, have more upside that bilal. hence the reason i'd take ausar at 9 if he were available but would pass on bilal at 9.

Latest Wasserman mock:

5. Ausar
6. Black
7. Jarace
8. Cam
9. Bilal
10. Lively
11. Dick
12. Hendricks
13. Bufkin
14. JHS
15. Wallace
16. Hawkins
28. Whitehead
the one thing everyone has locked in for so long is Dick to Orlando at 11... that is my hot take... Dick will not go 11.

If Wallace is on the board at 16 you take him... DA don't eff with me... the love of jazz fans everywhere will heal his back.
Generally speaking, if it's a muscular issue then it's fine. If he has connective tissue or bone injuries in his spine it's a different situation.

I have nothing to support this claim but it just seems to be more muscular than that his SPINE has a chronic issue.
