When Melo the Jazz Killer thinks you're lousy maybe it's not the time to trade for him.I personally would pass.

How so?I’m sorry to break it to you but it is arguable lmao and you are on the wrong side of this argument.
How so?
Lively was a top 5 recruit, he was just an elite defender at the college level and is a perfect fit with their star player. The Mavs have absolutely ZERO quality centers on their roster. Their scoring will be just fine without Taylor Hendricks contributing his 1-2 three pointers per game. They can just re-sign Christian Wood if they really like what Taylor Hendricks game consist of, he's the better version of Hendricks at NBA ready level.
Because quality centers are more valuable than a 3&D forward. I know some people exist in fairy tale land regarding centers not being important still, but if you want any chance of beating Nikola Jokic (which seemingly this is something the Mavs should care about) then you need a quality big center.I was referring to the better prospect part you were saying. I like Lively as well but I don’t see how he should be ranked higher than Hendricks.
So Lively gonna shut that **** down huh. They need a big... one ready for action... Lively may take a while before he gets there.Because quality centers are more valuable than a 3&D forward. I think Lively is NBA ready from Day 1 to play his limited role and will add more wins than any other rookie the Mavs can realistically draft. It's just a perfect fit.So Lively gonna shut that **** down huh. They need a big... one ready for action... Lively may take a while before he gets there.
There has probably never been a more Quin Snyder player than that guy.I've been trying to think of who the most Quin Snyder player is in this draft (assuming he will have the most say so).
If they keep the pick I expect them to go Jett Howard.

I would say Lively is a bit more Snydery, but they already have Capella so unless they have a plan to move him, it wouldnt make a lot of sense. There has probably never been a more Quin Snyder player than that guy.
I mean McGee is washed... but he knows his way around the basketball court... and that didn't work at all. When they were wrecking fools in the playoffs it was with 5 out stuff. One thing that is nice to have when playing 5 out is guys that can shoot, switch and rotate to protect the rim.... just a thought.I think Lively is NBA ready from Day 1 to play his limited role and will add more wins than any other rookie the Mavs can realistically draft. Cool, they can go 5 out when Lively isnt on the court. If you're going 5 out with Hendricks you're getting absolutely crushed in the NBA.I mean McGee is washed... but he knows his way around the basketball court... and that didn't work at all.
