2024-25 Trade Rumors Thread

Saw a trade proposal from a hawks fan
Kessler and Sexton to ATL
Capela, Bufkin, 2025 SAC 1st, and 2031 1st
Thoughts?

That would be the Lakers pick fyi.

Was a fan of Bufkin during the draft cycle, but he hasnt shown much of anything. I guess it would depend on the protections on the 2031 pick.

I would never do it for the SAC pick which is top 12 protected without any future obligations (afaik).

Would have to be the Lakers pick to even start that convo. That what I suggested on the previous page, albeit It was less complex and just straight up Kessler for Zeller+LAL 2025 1st

There's literally no sign of Keyonte ever being NBA-level "great" at anything.
The fact that he's even mentioned in the same post with Mitchell is a joke.
Perhaps I didn't construct the idea the right way.
The post was intended to refer that coaches sometimes envision something different that what is the better for a particular player in a particular environment.
In that sense what Snyder did with Mitchell appears to me to be similar at what Hardy is trying to do with George.

Yeah, just checked the trade machine and OKC doesn't have the salary to match for Collins.

The only center we have that could work for them is Kessler, and I don't think they are trading anything significant for a temp replacement center and we're not giving up Kessler for anything less than significant.

Just for fun though... Kessler for Cason Wallace works....

With Zion out I wonder if NO gets more aggressive on Kessler too. Between LA, NOP I think we could get a decent offer if we really wanted to.

Kessler is definitely our best trade asset and I would set the line at one good pick. I wouldn't even care for two more crappy picks. In fact, I'd be interested in moving our crappy picks sooner rather than later.

How can the Jazz get their pick back from OKC? Is Kessler straight across for it underselling? If so, what would be fair to ask to even out the value?

I understand the Jazz can just keep tanking to duck the protections, but the Jazz have swap rights to both (either) the Cavs’ and Wolves’ picks in 2026 so it has way more value to the Jazz than it does the Thunder (I wonder if the Wolves just don’t have enough juice in the WC with an aging Gobert and Conley + not a lot coming down the pipe for Minny).

Kessler for the pick is way too much. I think OKC sees the writing on the wall with the pick. I'd wait until after this year to approach them unless they'd do something like the Cavs pick this year (later in the season).

Maybe they'd want Eubanks but he can't be moved for a month.

If Griffin out in NO is feeling the pressure this season that is the team to approach. They have some trade constraints with the cap but there could be a deal for Kessler that makes sense.
