2024-25 Trade Rumors Thread

If this Redick honeymoon phase cools down I think the Lakers might actually be willing to play ball. The Jazz could send back either Clarkson or Sexton to match salaries along with Kessler in a Russell deal.

We have a lot of crap picks. I want some premium picks and the distant Lakers picks would be a great start.

I think Collin Sexton and Kessler for Russell (dump) and Hayes (replacement for Walker) makes sense for the Lakers. Just how sweet do they have to make it for the Jazz to move Walker? Probably too sweet for their blood.

I

I highly doubt the Lakers give up their 2029 pick for Kessler alone. But if they do that AND remove protections in 2027 AND take JC off our hands... I would be more than happy to offload Russell for them.
I would even trade them the young bull Sexton in Clarkson's place if they wanted

If we take Russell he won't play here he will be bought out or rerouted immediately so we need some draft value

Right now, agreed. As we get closer to the deadline they might be more inclined to make something happen. Bron's window is closing so I could see them trying to retool one last time to see if they can get hot in the playoffs. Plus Kessler is young and cheap so he's a good asset to have even post Bron

This was an extremely well documented story. I'm not sure what you are confused about. He waited a day later than when he could have signed in order to ensure he won't be traded this year.
Ok and he couldn't sign his deal until the 6th because his previous extension was also signed in August
