For what?I think the Lakers DFS trade raises the chances that Clarkson will be traded there.

Not sure I see the point to get basically no incentive back.Could be Vincent or Vando as the main incoming salary and JHS is probably coming in that deal as well. Very small incentive then going back to Utah. I believe the Lakers still have a second, they could remove protections ect.
Clarkson isn’t worth anything, so you’re looking at trash for trash kind of trades.

I am not a believer in JHS, but maybe we need all the tank commanders we can get.
Vanderbilt is still only 25 years old and maybe JHS just needs more time? I guess they still have higher likelihood of being contributors in 3+ than Clarkson would. There's not really a use for Clarkson here, so I don't think it would need to be much incentive back. There are only two ways I can see this going. 1) We dump him for straight expiring salary. For example, Clarkson for PJ Tucker. 2) We trade him for other undesirable salary, but get a little incentive on top of that. For example, Clarkson for Vincent/Vando/Cole Anthony + a some sweetner.
There is of course, the possibility that nothing happens as has been the case for years now on the Clarkson front.
I think Sexton makes way more sense for the Lakers if they are willing to let go of a 1st round pick. They dont have enough 2nds to get into the Clarkson discussion unless a 3rd team is involved that wants Rui
Sexton is way better and makes more sense for most teams than Clarkson, just don’t think teams are going to be willing to put picks on the table. Pretty much every Clarkson destination can be considered a Sexton destination, but Clarkson would go for much cheaper.

Probably need something else, still, since the possibility that Vandy is cooked is a non-zero possibility and he’s under contract for three more years after this one.
Ainge has to trade Sexton this year as his value will be way lower next year as he'll be in the last year of his contract.
