Yeah don’t think we’re getting a super high value first (or the equivalent of that value) for Sexton. Vando’s contract is bad, doesn’t mean the Lakers will give up the draft capital they have been very protective over.

All signs from the Lakers front have been clear. They are only willing to put those picks on the table if it makes them a contender. They are not close to that, those picks won’t be on the table in a high value way.

A Sexton for DLO+crappy pick (due to protections/swaps/etc) is what seems most likely.

I also threw them back the Cavs pick this year… but they should still be hesitant.

That's a no brainer. We are going to have to use some of our pick like that because we can't intake that many players.

Yeah....can't say one of the worst first round picks is going to move the needle much compared to a high premium draft pick.

The galactic brain move: instead of resigning your own good player let them walk and sign with another team (and use his money on signing Svi whom we do not play at all) - and THEN trade for him.
