This is a quote from Andy Larsen's Triple team last night regarding fan trade proposals on RealGM:

"It sounds crazy, but I know that some people in NBA front offices, including the Jazz’s, appreciate these kind of ideas."

If I'm reading this correctly it sounds like Andy is saying that at least someone from the Jazz FO likes to look at fan trade proposals.

Moving with the family or being apart all the time is terrible either way. He has the final say and can just pass on all of that.

Big loss for the "these guys are professionals and you are just a dumb guy on the message board". I honestly think its cool and why wouldn't you take wisdom from the masses. They are smart enough to see through the obviously dumb ones and having 1000 monkeys hunt down some legitimate ideas is cool.

I painted one specific scenario where I could see maybe him being okay with it but it wouldn't be right now and it is a super long shot. He seems to have taken the benching basically perfectly. TBH I am not sure why Miami wouldn't just say "eff it... get the pick and Beal and see if we can figure it out". I think Pat lost his fastball. He is looking to the 2026 FA class and so many guys will sign extensions it won't really matter. Jimmy will wreck the next 1.5 years for them with no issue. He's a chaos agent.

Pat Riley is the ultimate mob boss GM and doesn't care. But the impact is being felt. And who will take Butler? It's a skimpy list.

A ton of teams would take him. Not a lot can afford him.
